Which one do you prefer?

i'd go for the 4-5-1 and make it difficult for them to get through us. though i'm concerned about xabi's level of fitness. from this starting 4-5-1 we could switch to a 442 by moving le tallec forward if necessary.

anyway, i'm a ****** tactician so what do i know?

Who should partner Alonso and Biscan?
Welsh? Le Tallec? Smicer?

I think it would be a big gamble starting Alonso after him not even being in the squad for city game, especially with Gerrard strugglin for fitness.

If gerrard is not fit i would stick Nunez on the right and put garcia behind baros, Nunez hasn't had a great start to his lfc career but is improving an will provide width on the right....garcia comes inside alot an makes the attacking options a bit limited. But fingers crossed for Stevie.

if gerrrard is fit, he would most definately play as a center role, no way would he be playing an attacking role in a vital European game.

Gerrard is definately out...he hasnt travelled so bad news.
Cant see Alonso being fit, so without hamann as well it looks like Welsh and Biscan in the centre, Nunez on the right with Garcia in attack with Baros. That team will really stuggle away to Juve but you never know, we were without Gerrard against Leverkusen first leg and rose to the occasion, lets just hope the players can play above themselves again.

first leg of leverkusen tie was not as bad....we at laest have 2 recognised midfield in biscan and hamann....? now? only 1 and a half in biscan and half fit alonso. i probably would not count welsh who is wholly inexperienced for this type of game. this is the type of game we need salif back for.
