We're going to need a cracking performance to go through. The odds are stacked firmly against us, but whats new!?! Now stevie's out, we're going to rely heavily on  Alonso. We all know the lads class, but is he ready for this game!?! I still think Lampard's a t**t. Anyhooo, the lads can do it. Give JC the captaincy for the game. Just seeing the pride on his face would make the score irrelivent!(Well perhaps not!)Come on the 'pool!

the worst possible scenario in this game would be for juve to score early. everyone knows that italian teams are great at throwing men behind the ball and juve are the kings of the 1-0 scoreline this season.

i have a feeling that if we are going to score that it will be from a set piece or a long range effort.

I think Carragher should be captain tonight, with Gerrard out Carragher is the only player capable of gettin the team going an giving out instructions. He is constantly barking out orders and with the players we have, alot do need telling before they wake up.

this is a real strength of the character of our team, under strength squad, players just returning from long injury lay offs, facing a hostile crowd in a stadium which is rarely ever full, i just wish dudek starts as i would prefer carson but dudek is more experienced and carson will no doubt be a great keeper but going from division 1 to under 21's to the satdio del api, mite be a bit too much for young man, just need to believe in ourselves and if they do score early on, have to make sure we respond, arsenal beat inter 5-1 away chelsea beat lazio 4-0 english clubs have a great record against italian teams so lads just keep your chins up

Trezeguet is out.
Juve should be definitely playing with Del Piero-Ibrahimovic with Nedved a little behind them and Zalayeta ready to come in (did you see his assist to Ibra on Saturday?  )

The good news is that ESPN2 is broadcasting the match live and having come to work this morning at 6 instead of 9, I'll be able to get out at 2 tomorrow and watch it in my apt...  :D  :D

Yeah,

Ibrahimovic might have Zidane's feet and Del Piero probably WAS the best player in the world years ago.
But you need players who somehow throw the ball in the net and Trezeguet is the best in doing that in this Juve team.
Anyways, I think we could deal with that. Ibra just scored twice on Sat after almost two months he scored last...

Capello spoke:

"Juve must look for a goal with no hurry. We'll be aggressive, but cautious, in order not to risk the Liverpool's counterattack." Capello then confirmed he will use just 3 defenders:"Our defenders are fast enough to not conceed counterattacks, but midfielders will play an important role in this."

To me, it sounds like a pretty plain interview. And Juve played very rarely with 3 defenders this year.
It's probably due to the fact that Zebina is out. Zambrotta will play 100% midfield on the left and Nedved will have more freedom to get to the goal...
