Baros - Finished at liverpool?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

its not that easy to find them, and its more than just a name game. some strikers just dont click at certain clubs like tommerson at newcastle who then went on to ac milan.
andy cole missed loads but scored loads because he was in a team creating chances.
birmingham off loaded andy johnson who couldnt buy a goal for them to palace and look whats happened.
same with crouch who looked ****** at villa and is doing well now with southampton.
baros is still young and is still learning, he will come good.

If i didn't know the result i would have assumed we'd lost the game after reading this tripe.

The only tripe I see is your assertion that our leading striker played well yesterday .
"He ran the back for ragged for 70 mins"   ,so what ? thats part of his job ,another part is scoring goals and thousands watching saw him miss not one but TWO one on ones with the everton keeper ,Christ ! half the lads on the kop would have scored at least once from those positions. . Nine league goals this season hardly elevates Baros to the level LFC fans have come to expect from their strikers.

Baros has been moaning for years about his lack of first team football. He can have no complaints after this season.

its not always about numbers woof woof, kevin keegan is one of my idols but he never scored more than 15 goals in a season for us.
kenny wasnt prolific either but its what they brought to the side.
now i dont need anyone telling me baros isnt in their league because i probably saw those two play hundreds of times but baros`s style gives us something we lack at the moment...the ability to go past a man. he missed two chances but i seen kenny miss one from six inches at old trafford after alan hansen made a superb break from defence. all strikers miss chances, and in big games too.

if baros could brush up on his finishing then there would be no doubt that he would be proably one of the best strikers in the world

True , but I think what's got some of us going is the fact that he failed two convert TWO "gift wrapped, solid gold, stone cold, it's gotta be a goal, quick let me put my mortgage on it ! " opportunities .

believe me, dalglish`s miss was worse than ljungbergs the other day, he was six inches out, at old trafford of all places.
it even happens to the very best.

One howler in a game is forgiveable but when a player makes TWO you have to question it.  :kungfu:

If Dudek makes two howlers and cost us two goals in a game he'd be slaughted but it's ok for Baros to miss two absolute sitters and we shouldn't question it ?
Get a grip.

of course question it, but i dont think it should result in the end of his liverpool career.
we`ll just have to agree to disagree on this one.
as long as we win and he causes the other team problems i dont mind him being in the side.

I've always been a big supporter of the lad but sadly I dont see him at Anfield next season.

He may not have taken his chances but he caused problems for them all day, and when Everton were pushing to score, they had to think twice committing too much forward with Baros around.

But he just doesnt have a football brain. Getting sent off when we've got 4 injured players and cant sub is not the sort of player a manager like Rafa tolerates.

Getting sent off in a derby match can happen. But getting sent off under those circumstances when the team has its back against the wall and fighting the 2nd half with 10 fit players and no subs is madness.

And Stubbs can get stuffed. He's made plenty of dodgy challenges in his career. He is not one to take the high ground. He's hardly a Beckenbauer type of defender. He is as dirty as they come on the pitch.
