Well said. Were all agreed baros played poor and were too inconsistent. We won though, lets enjoy the braggin rights until the hard work starts again

well, on a positive note, this IS the end of Evertons run, they will finish behind bolton and we'll have 4th spot and the Champions league final to look forward to :;):

baros had a great game today, his finishing let him down but he had a solid back four all over the place. all you people slagging baros have got to remember henry didnt do that to evertons back four. he was getting pulled to ****** by weir who should have went and then got clattered by him a minute before the sending off. baros just acted out of frustration for the sending off. if he plays like that every week the goals will come, the only thing i`m not keen on is when he moans in the press. apart from that - good game milan lad!!

I remember Heskey missing the chance in the dying seconds against Man U (I think) where he fell on his erse with the goal gaping. A pivotal moment in his Anfield career, you could just smell it. Perhaps todays game will be pivotal in the career of Milan at Anfield.
Yes he should have scored and yes he deserved to go, but bizarrely I thought he was one of our best players. I hope we hold onto him to be honest. As for the fella who posted earlier that he slipped up by not ending Stubb's career, I have to ask you where on earth you are coming from? I read an interview with him in the Sunday papers today where he talked of football being "only a game" and "if we get beat I'm still alive and will go home to my family". Came accross as a thoroughly likeable fella, very balanced and mature as I guess most people who have recovered from cancer twice are.
He also spoke of one occasion when he was in really serious trouble. He was still at Celtic and watched an old firm derby from his hospital bed. As the camera panned over the Rangers half of the crowd it picked out a banner. It said "good luck Alan Stubbs". Thats the type of football supporter that I am. Indeed the type of football supporter Liverpool is famous for having. I'm glad that Milan never ended his career today with that tackle. If that means I'm not a real supporter etc etc then fine. Count me out of any association whatsoever with all that nonsense.

p.s ......there`s nothing bizarre about it, milan was one of if not the best player. you ask moyes at half time which liverpool player he didnt want to come out of the tunnel.

Before I read the whole way throught his topic aI'll just give my opinion. I think (unless we get a good price) we should hold on to Baros as an option. He os not a first choice striker (misses to much, head down) but he does cause the smaller teams a lot of problems with his direct running. If he's willing to stay and accept he's not first choice because he is simply not good enough then I'd keep him.

As for today. He desereved to be sent off, he missed two one on one's, if which I think the first was the worst ( how a pro can't run the ball half the fiels under control and score is beyond me) the second was unlucky, he did everything right, Martin just got lucky, but he still could have made a better attempt at he finish

are you saying he deserved to get sent off cos he missed 2 guilt edged oppotunities or cos he made a mistimed tackle.

Henry will never screw up on the one-on-one chance even still in his pyjamas, never mind doing it twice in one game.

OK. We did played well in the 1st half to win comfortably. I am happy we wiped the freaking smile off the bluenose face but lets not forget those lacklustre performance at St Mary's, St Andrew, St James' and last week's game v Blackburn.

Spot on

Baros was superb today, held the ball up well for others to join in and was a constant outlet for us with his pace.

Until he got sent off he was really dangerous looking (not talking about his challenges!). He got into the positions for his 2 chances with good pace and anticipation, no one else offered that for us up front.

I'm sick of ****** on here who obviously don't know much about football coming out and slating baros. Suckers for a knee-jerk reaction, it pisses me off.

Someone else hit the nail on the head saying that we won so why pick a scapegoat

hey santa the way you have edited that looks like i was the one saying that about stubbs, cancer is not a subject to throw around lightly, or career threatening injuries for that matter.
on a lighter note you say henry wouldnt miss one on one`s, well all strikers do and henry has just come out of a twelve game run where he never scored.

Made up that we will not have Baros for three games. At last we have the opportunity to work a plan with Morientes, supported by Garcia and Gerrard, bringing Biscan into midfield.
We will leak one or two goals but score more.
Cheerio to Baros, waste of space.

Personally I liked Baros. He have a good work rate and his direct running caused lots of problems to the opponent. But I have to accept that his goal scoring rate is not that brilliant and he won't accept being drop to the bench. Besides his link up with his strike partner is pathetic. Also I don't appreciate players who constantly wanted to play only to put himself on the shop window. Seriously, I bet Rafa secretly have already got plan for Milan next season...in another club. But I don't think we will get 1p more than £8M for him at this time.

This club need a better striker than Milan if we are to break into top 3. Sad but true...
