My own view of the game yesterday is that the manager clearly erred by picking a strange formation which the players were uncomfortable with from the outset and the game was lost before a ball was kicked.

Its been a disaster of a season so far, although Benitez must take a small amount of blame, in fairness to him he inherited a lot of problems and the injury list has been horrific. Has Cisse and Alonso been available all season I'm confident we'd be in 4th place at this stafe.

The faster the season ends the better, but I'm reasonably optimistic for next year.

lakes and mark, get a life really

he inherited average players from houllier, he has brought in alonso who is injured, he bought morienties who is a class buy, who knows maybe the rest will improve but im certain those 2 are class players, and also remember cisse has been out so its going to hurt any team with those quality players out, the rest of the players he inherited, its not championship manager he can't just get rid of every player that isnt good enough, he needs time to sell the rubbish and bring mroe quality like he already has done, and he needs more money to bring in more quality players, signings like alonso and morienties are the bargain buys we need to continue doing, cause they are both quality players and only cost 16 million combined

so give the manager a chance and support your team, despite these hard times, thats how you know who is a true supporter when times are bad, the 2 of u need to question are you a true supporter of the team

Roll on the end of the season

We have a captain who does not inspire as much as we want him to stay

We have some players who are not good enough simple as that

He has got some tactics wrong I will admit, but he is new to the prem, and hopefully he will learn from his mistakes.
But asking for him to be replaced by Big sam is a joke it really is.
He wasnt even on the list we had lined up for a new manager.
I think we need an ex red on board to be Rafas sidekick to tell him what teams what etc.............................

the sooner Rafa  leaves the better fot the club then we can get back to playing good football, he is trying to slow our game down and it not working.

Playing good football? We haven't played good football consistantly in a long time. If you consider hoofing the ball to the forwards as good football then go support some other team. How is Rafa slowing our game down? Our players still have Houllier's tactics of long balls in their system and how is Rafa making them worse by trying to get them to play "pass and move" football?

Get your head out of your ar$e

so do you think we should just let him do what he is doing and end up 6th? HE  got the last game wrong the players did not, yes we are poor at keeping the ball right now but we are not making chances andd that is due to what he is telling how to play, one up front and sticking baros wide if any of you think that was a good idea you should be shot

Perphaps you're the one who should be shot instead since you have forgotten that Rafa has been here for 6 months not 6 years you clueless idiot.

How about you do some footie homework and look up what place Liverpool finished when Shankly first took over. It was hardly impressive in his first season but if he had sacked him then we wouldn't have achieved as much as we have.

Or sir Alex 10 years before he done ****** all.
And Houllier had to go cause we where playing boring, you could fall asleep at some games, hoof the ball to Owen and maybe he will be on the end of it.
Its like everton are playing now, long ball tactics effective but boring as ****** to watch :sleepy:

Winning the FA Cup and the UEFA Cup was good, but not good enough for the stature of our club. If you like settling for such cups perhaps you should support some other club.

Houllier did not win two competions that we needed to win, one being the Premiership and the other being the Champions League.
