If Steve Gerrard leaves Liverpool for a club like Chelsea it will be a huge mistake. At Liverpool he is the king, the captain of his hometown club. How much better than that does it get. We are a club still capable of competing at the highest level. If Gerrard as half a heart, lifting the premiership with a club like Chelsea wont be half as sweet as lifting ANY trophy with Liverpool. If the lad chooses to leave, then so be it. I for one think he would be making an error, but he is young and maybe he doesnt see the value of what he has right now. The game is more than about medals, its about honour. How many great players compete without ever winning anything. I just hope Gerrard has good people around him right now, he went so close to leaving. If he chooses to take another path then so be it because Liverpool will go on beyond him.

Got to agree with the Madman , when Nando scored SG went nuts with delight. I think he realises what Raffa is doing and also the fact we have had the worst injury crisis in our history..............I still think he will be here next season ,at least in my heart i feel it. Just the thought of a full squad free of injuries fills me with exitement , especially as Raffa will strenghten the back four and maybe one more for the wing

This is of the ESPN football site people log on and ask this Dale Johnson bloke who dosent seem to have a good thing to say about Liverpool never heard of the guy any one else.

but its sad if its true. but hey life goes on and the reds will march on and there's nothing that's gonna stand in our way. stevie G is a good player but there are many out there who r 2. so if he must go, by all means.
a certain possibiity, he seems to have not come to full grips of what it means to a liverpool player and more importantly, the capain of the greatest club on earth. it's all our hope that he realises what's he's doing and wake up coz i know deep down red is in his blood.hopefully it's not too late for him

I don't want Stevie to go but I wish he would make his mind up and stop holding the club to ransom cos Rafa needs to build a team and needs Stevie to be involve, SG has even admitted that we have been very unlucky this season with the injuries we've had and also admits we are playing better football, if he can see the club is going forward after a injurie hit season then surely he can put some faith in Rafa

I just wish we had a squad of true reds like Cara

wtf wot u on about. Stevie g is our best player and under contract. If he wants to go we will get money for him and we wont let him go cheap. I dont care if goes on about keane as long as hes not playing beside him. Stevie plays for us and plays for us well!!!
I have no doubt if he went wed get a lotta cash and raffa would b good with the use of it.
In my opinion stevie g is the better of the two now and hes only compairing himself to the nearest type of player to himself in the modern game.
