Chelsea Forever you do post some very intelligent thoughts on here I have questioned why you spend so much time, however, after reading some of your posts I think you add a lot to our site.

But let's get one thing straight your team should beat anyone in the world with the players that you have got   do you get any satisfaction when you win??  you purchased the title and because you have spent all that money think that you have a god given right to win everything   as it was cleverly pointed out its 11 v 11 and anything can happen in 90 minutes   lest you forget you did not score against us in 180 minutes last year   ok it was not a goal      yeah right

If you want to post here then don't state that you are going to win both games and try and rip our team apart in doing so   a bit of modesty goes a long way!!!!!

Mourinho summed it up perfectly with his comments about Gerrard      "look back in ten years and count the medals you have   Chelsea will have more"   this is just the type of comment that makes people hate your team    heres one player that you could not buy with all your blood money so instead of accepting it you have to make infantile comments

Enough said     please remain on our site but have a bit of respect!!!    don't end up like your arrogant manager  :no

chelsea couldnt beat us last year in CL, with that blindingly obvious goal from Garcia, so its no different this year, plus we will have Owen thumping them in the onion bag for us........yehar

Chelsea Forever .... why must you join this forum ??? Don't you have your own forum ??? Shame on you .....
This forum is just for the people who support Liverpool and the topic is Liverpool will beat Chelsea ... anywhere and anytime we will beat you .
Yes, you may have the best players in the world but Football is not about buying best players .... but it's about how you play the game in each match.
Like chess .... it's not about how expensive is the board but how you played the game.
Final words for you .... : GO HOME, this is not your place !

Redwolf35 - I have always shown respect since the time I joined this forum and since my very first post.

I accept its 11 V 11 and anything can happen in 90 mins. I know Liverpool is a very strong squad with a brilliant manager and I also know that we have a strong squad with an equally brilliant manager.

I had no intention in saying we will rip your team apart, infact if you look at my first post on this topic I have pointed out that it will be highly tactical from both teams, both teams will keep posession and a goal will be scored only by a slipup or a brilliant creative move. All I said in the post that followed that was that I think Jose will setout a plan whereby we will push for winning both games and there is a high possibility that we can achieve that target.

As for those who say the EPL has Henry and RVN who are better than Crespo in the 'world class' status then I have to ask you ...

When has Henry performed for France?
When has Henry performed in Europe?
I think Henry is a top player, no one doubts his ability, he has pace and a terrific shot, but he has only scored goals in the EPL throught his footballing life. Never has he delivered for France or in Europe.

RVN is a Striker, not a forward. Henry and Crespo are forwards.

RVN will be in the box waiting for a tap in, header or to finish a move. Very seldom does he show good movement with the ball or create his own chances. I agree he has been superb for MANu in Europe and even in the Leage. But you cannot even think of comparing him with Crespo.

Hernan has performed at every club he has played for. He has performed for Parma, Lazio, Ac, Inter and  scored 10 goals in 19 games for us in 03-04 which is not bad considering all the chopping and changing CR did. He has performed for Argentina scoring around 30 goals in 45 appearences. He can score with both feet, he can create his own goals, and he is proven in leagues, Europe and the World.

Therefore he is a more complete player than Henry and RvN. He might not have the skill of Henry, but he has delivered at every level of football and at the end of the day thats what counts and makes a great player. One might have all the skill in the world, but if he cant deliver on the big stage then whats the use.

Obviously it would be nice to beat them but i think we have to consentrate on the two smaller teams to make certain of a top two finish. Its not really like last year when only a win would do, i'd be happy getting two draws against them to be honest. Its Real Betis who i'm a little worried about, but i trust Rafa to get it right he will know all about them.

Mate I would have Henry in my team any day. But I was talking about 'WORLD class', Henry has never delivered in Europe or for France and its a mystry as to why?

About rooney, I 100% agree he is the best forward in the EPL currently and is the future of England. I would have him up there with Crespo, even above RVN.

Let's just be glad we are in it this year   anything else is a bonus      at 3-0 down in Instanbul we would have all taken Champions League Football in a group with

Chelsea
Barcelona
Inter Milan

We'll be well up for it no mistake    Gerrard will be awesome this year   I think we can beat them at home again we're better this year  admittedly so are they   but.......  some of their 'Galactico's' are going to rock the boat again very soon as they will want to play in these two games there must be resentment building in their squad to the ones that are playing  I reckon some of them will not be happy about the way Maureen treated Carvallio either    after all they are the best players in the world!!!

Its going to be really tough for us, all these games, we will be about 3 games in hand soon in the prem with this busy sqedual we have had already, I would be very happy to make it to the group stages.
We need to concentrate on the league this year though, and everything else is a bonus IMO.
Of course I would love us to win it again, but I think we have other priorities this season and not have a 37 point deficit in the prem.
When Rafa has asembled a squad where we can compete on all fronts then yes so be it.
But we cant finish 5th in the league again, and we need to get back in the CL next year also.
