I can't wait for Gerrard to go

i'm sick of seeing that miserable face shaking from side to side when things are not going well.some captain he is this a guy who a couple of years ago did a double page spread in the news paper waxing lyrically about how roy keane is his hero.so lets get this straight roy keane is largely responsible for manu's success and yet we have our captain giving him even more confidence. its funny but when rooney first came on the scene it was said that he has a picture of graham sharpe on his wall.gerard is a bit older than rooney yet he could not find a mcmahn or a souness to do a double page spread about. i think its time we get rid of this clown,he has rattled on about keane being his idol many times in the press yet keane has not even mentioned his name ,simply because we are the enemy.ask youself the question if you are a true liverpool man how can you watch your hero play and want him to lose, which means our boy has more than a soft spot for manu which is why he wants away.when i see gerard i don't see someone who loves liverpool with all his heart.

There's nothing wrong with admiring a good player (even if it is the Scum)
are you sure you've not taken it out of context - with him picking Keane
He probably had in mind that the game had changed and become faster since the  P L was formed.  The likes of Mcmahon, Whelan & Souness - while absolutely incredible players - did play in a slightly slower paced game
Anyway - I still think George Best is one of the best footballers I've ever seen - he played for the Scum - doesn't mean I love Liverpool any less passionately or would want any of our players going their.

Whilst there will always be a rivalry between us and the Scum - and the 2 league fixtures are always something extra special
I think we've got more to worry about from the Russian Mafia & his Chelski

Anyway - welcome to the forum Mate :;):

If you cant wait for Gerrard to go then I suggest you are a d1ckhead who should go support someone else. You probable cant wait for Benitez to go either. FFS

Are you a chelsea fan or Everton fan ? Because if you are Liverpool Fan , you won't sell him unless he doesn't want to continue with Liverpool . Even RB wants him to stay .

I think Keane is an excellent recent example of what a captain should be, you can compare him to McMahon and Souness, they are a dieing breed, and it would be amazing if Stevie could recreate that passion and ability.

I get your point, Gerrard is a drama Queen, and I'm more than sick of all the media labelling us a one-man side, especially since Gerrard is starting to believe it himself.
However, he is a fabulous player, and if we want to move forward we must hold on to him and turn him into a great and successful captain.

It will be really bad if he leaves especially as with Morientes and Alonso he has two peers in the team with him and a few more players just behind but I have to agree with some people that compared to Keane he is not the completed article yet, but at the same time unlike Keane what player have we had to bring him along in the last few seasons like Keane had.

Bar Gary Mac SG has done it on his own and especially last season, I just hope now that with Alonso and Morientes he has players who can take the limelight/pressure away from him for a while, but at the same time he has to have faith in his team mates as well

I agree that SG is a drama queen but there is nothing wrong with admiring people better than you in your position and trying to attain their level.

Roy Keane is definately better than SG at the moment, I loved the clip of him wanting to take on Viera last night(no chance of seeing lfc game in any pub), full of fight the way a captain should be.

keane has never mentioned SG as SG is not in his class yet. On the bright side RK is aging and won't get better while SG, if he stays, will get better and keep posession more and in another 3 years should be the best in England.

Gerrard is probably our best player on the pitch, next season it will be a lot harder without him.
You cant put a price on players like that, they dont come along ofter
