Kewell set to return next week.

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby FrankM » Fri Jan 28, 2005 4:38 pm

Liverpool midfielder Harry Kewell has been left out of Australia's squad for their international against South Africa in Durban on 10th February.

Frank Farina's decision to leave Kewell out will be welcomed by Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez who doesn't want to see the player rushed back into action.

Only yesterday Kewell declared himself available for selection by club and country from next week so he'll probably have a face on that the Socceroos don't require him to report for duty.

GOALKEEPERS: Mark Schwarzer, Zeljko Kalac

DEFENDERS: Lucas Neill, Kevin Muscat, Craig Moore, Tony Popovic, Stephen Laybutt, Tony Vidmar, Jon McKain, Danny Tiatto

MIDFIELDERS: Vince Grella, Josip Skoko, Brett Emerton, Tim Cahill, Marco Bresciano, Mile Sterjovski, Scott Chipperfield

STRIKERS: Jason Culina, Paul Agostino, Max Vieri.

Well I guess we got no strikers again, except for Ago, Max is too young, but will be good for the future. Doesn't matter, i guess Kewell will prolly go over and check out the match like he did when he came down under for the playoffs.

I think he probably has a satelite dish, rather than travel 11 hours to watch a friendly.
