Don't know much about this lot tbh but I know they have a couple of  lads  with prem XP and are managed by De Zerbi who is a decent manager also with prem experience.

Salah is back training with us and will probably start. Konate is a doubt as hes currently on leave with personal issues.

                               Allison.

Frimpong.       Gomez.       Virgil.        Kerkhez.

                             Mac.          Grav.

Salah.                           Szob.                    Wirtz.

                                  Etitike.

We really need to win this one.

I got an alert yesterday from LFC stating that fans down in Marseilles should not go anywhere near the port area wearing shirts, should not show flags or congregate or sing. Heavy escort protection to and from the ground, away fans will be held back for 40 minutes then will be allowed out in the following 2 hours. Sounds like they expect the usual French chaos with heavy handed policing. Never seen what amounted to a strong warning message like that before, basically 'get ready'.

I just hope the team and manager better understand what is needed and how to go about it and we beat the barstools.

Marseille aren't a bad side at all. Like red said they have De Zerbi as manager plus two great forwards in Aubameyang who is still decent at 36 and Greenwood an ex manure player who I admit I would love to have him in LFC.

A win will be difficult but 3 points would take us to 3rd or 4th place. However drawing or losing here we risk not qualifying directly to the round of 16 even if we beat our last opponent.

Haven't watched much french football so I don't know anything about these.
Either way, our form lately doesn't give me confidence.

We're trying to walk the ball into the net here. Sometimes you just need to leather it when you have a sight of goal.
Mo hasn't been in the game at all

Good goal by Szoboszlai but otherwise our final ball has been terrible. So many openings in that Marseille defence but we couldn't take advantage of that. We really needed that free-kick goal but we need more in the second half to make sure we win since Marseille's attack is more than capable of coming back in this match.

We're on the defensive this second half. Need a bit more urgency and bite to get a second goal here or the usual will happen

Good result at the end, takes us to 4th place. I agree we weren't as good as the result suggests but deserved the win nonetheless.

Stand out player for me tonight was Kerkez, thought he was fantastic. Good forward runs, nice crosses and superb defensively, kept a very dangerous Greenwood at bay.

I thought the lads did well tonight. Credit to Marseille, they didn't sit on their ***** but instead attempted to give it a go.
Maybe they made us look better than deserved ? but with a 3-0 win I'm not gonna complain  :)

It wasn't a great watch, but we got the job done. Maybe we should play this way vs the low block teams in the prem.

Job done 3 points, step closer to sealing auto qual spot, just Qarabag now. Thought we did okayish, similar to how we've been playing recently.
