Newcastle Vs Liverpool 30/12 20:00 ko

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby Tommy Smith » Thu Dec 31, 2020 12:11 am

Another shitty and awful performance, yet again lost 2 points against a lower team, all those points will tally towards the constant slide downwards, some fans saying we will get some wins next month, yet December's fixture was an easy one! the toughest games start next month and the 17th is the game changer!

Klopp is a stupid manager, he can clearly see that the pathetic shitty Salah is f*cking useless, and decided to replace him in the last 2 minutes, Salah should have been replaced at halftime, Shaqiri, Ox, and Thiago should come on then. It is awful team management. tough series of games start next week, let us see how Klopp will manage it!!

Midfield were awful again tonight imo. Getting bypassed far to easily and taking far to long to set up attacks. Unbelievable difference when Thiago came on.

Poor finishing in the end is what cost us. The team needs a natural finisher almost as much as a C.H.

We should be running away with this. Far to many points dropped against teams we should be beating. Cant keep this up for much longer.

Ironic how we have been screwing about defence yet it has been the attack that has lacked. I fully agree about Jota not being around. He did give the others some much needed competition.

Btw one plus, it was nice seeing Thigo, just got bit worried when that dude clattered him. I just hope he can stay injury free. He will create tons of chances, hope the lads uptop fekin finish them.

It was frustrating because we could clearly do better . Midfield was terrible , wingbacks did well but our players at the top goes to the wings as well , this is ok but the midfielder need to attack the box.

The positive was when thiago came in , so much quality and was miles ahead of anyone else , he literally won every header as well which made it so obvious of all the lazy headers that was on show before.

4 points dropped , frustrating AF but we will bounce back and can't wait for Jota to be back and bring that directness .

The front three missing chances was out of character. Let’s face it they are human after all. The team selection concerned me. Hendo,Milly and Jones is not an exactly attacking or creative midfield. Hendo or Milly but not both of them. Jones has shown some ability but I simply don’t believe that he is good enough at this level. And Triago proved that point when he came on.He is some player.

As for the title the way some of you are talking you would think we are in a relegation battle. COVID has been mentally awful for everybody.Playing in empty stadiums is difficult to say the least and yes that applies to everybody but just remember we are top of the league with an injury ravaged team.

Hopefully we can put the sh1t show of 2020 behind us and look forward to a happier and healthier 2021.

Pretty painful to watch....  7 points divide the top 9 places.

No matter what happens this weekend we’ll still be top (albeit on goal difference) and although we are definitely struggling atm there’s no denying that, it is worth remembering that the problems we are having are top of the league problems, its also worth remembering that we are through to the knockout stages of the CL as well, it wasn’t that long ago that our problems revolved around us getting tailed off in the race for fourth and It was only 5/6 years ago where we had only qualified for the CL once in the previous 7 seasons.
Back in the likes of 2012 (which is not that long ago) we could only dream of having the sort of problems we are having now, of being champions and top of the league but draws are allowing the chasing pack to close on us. As problems go in football we are having the best problems you can have.

As a few have said, it could be worse.

Yes, we've dropped points, but we are top by 3 and every manager in the league would give their right arm to be in our position right now.

Hopefully, with some key players returning from injury and one or two signings, we can bounce back and find some winning form.

Had we taken our chances we would've won that one with ease. I can't wait to see Thiago in the mix I think Klopp should definitely start him against Southampton.

Always nice to give your rivals hope for the beginning of the new year. Baby face will have had a good W*nk over that result.

I’d say it’s a good thing we have so called ‘tough’ fixtures coming up as we may actually turn up for a change. Then by the time we get through them, hopefully unscathed, we’ll have jota back to help break the smaller teams down.

Positives.... we’re somehow still top, and we have thiago back.

A CB signing in jan is mandatory. Even a Thiago Silva type figure who can assert leadership at the back until big v returns.

West Ham have done us a favour anyway, hopefully Villa can do something similar at Old Trafford.

Sadly not. The filth with their 11th peno in 16 games secured 3 points
Or 27 penos since Agent Ole took charge
33 penos in 59 games
But no, there's no reason to be suspicious...
