I believe it’s only a one game ban.

Splendid win and all the credit goes to Nunez (World Class) and Allison

The referee and VAR team were 100% biased towards Newcastle, VVD should not have been sent off, total cheat.
On Trent, the better he moves into midfield, the better it is, and the team will benefit more.
Well done lads

Brilliant team management by Klopp. Nullifying the effectiveness of Newcastle’s attack when we were down to ten men was critical. Fantastic substitutions by Klopp which were the catalyst for the eventual win. Brilliant assist by Mo. Phenomenal goals by Darwin. Great save by Ali. Work to be done but it was a great result.

When he took Diaz off I thought he had lost the plot but to be fair to Jurgen his idea was clearly to circle the wagons avoid a hammering and if possible keep it to one nil until the last 10 minutes when they might get nervy. He wanted grafters out there not artisans hence Luis coming off. As you say mate mate Jurgen called it perfectly.
So proud of the lads yesterday, they really did the shirt proud.

I wouldn’t say we were lucky mate, yes we rode our luck once or twice which is what you’d expect from any team down to 10 men for most of a game but in general it was a terrific battling gutsy performance

It was awful to watch.. but we did what we needed to do. We slowed the game down time wasting, then went to a 4-2-3 and really went for it the last 10 mins. It paid off.

But this game is evidence we're gonna struggle without reinforcements. Newcastle were very naive and took their 2 most effective players off (gordon and tonali) thinking they had this game wrapped up. We won't get favours like that again this season.

Mad auld game in fairness and think we rode our luck a bit. Trent was lucky not to get sent off. The 1st yellow was stupid as he should know better but definitely deserved one for the high arm which the ref let him away with. Very poor concentration for the goal. Think sending Van Dijk off was harsh for the challenge but he did clean him out of it and he did deny him an opportunity.

Hard to know how the game would have panned out 11 V 11 but going down to 10 forced us into some changes which made us change tack. For the better as well because I thought they were all over us. Our subs were spot on and 2 sweet strikes from Nunez saved the day. We showed great resilience and character to come out with a win which was imo the real winner.

Always going to be an overpayment as the window is closing. He's young so all we can hope is that Klopp gets the most out of the lad....
We needed another mid as it means Elliot is further from playing in central mid...
