Newcastle vs Liverpool 04/05 19:45

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby redshade » Sat May 04, 2019 12:31 am

I don't think we've played EPL footy at 19:45 on a Saturday evening.

Well we travel to Rafas turf looking for another win to keep the pace with City.

This will be a tough nut to crack and interestingly how the lads will respond.

I still think we will be too much for Newcastle.

2-0 to us.

Biggest game of the season so far and what a challenge to get back up again with City continuing to win and CL in doubt. We'll need all Jurgens motivation tonight.

i'm wondering with Tuesdays game close by, Jurgen will rotate for this one.

If we go gung ho tonight, our top players may be knackered to go again Tuesday.

Just looking at the league table there's an important game for us kicking off at half 5, as it stands Cardiff (who are 3rd to bottom) are 4 points behind Brighton but if they beat Palace later (and Arsenal beat Brighton tomorrow) that means Cardiff will be just 1 point behind Brighton going into the last game of the season.
Obviously City would still be huge favourites at home against Brighton on the last day but it will deffo help our cause if Brighton still aren't safe going into that last game.

We're going to need a bit of devine intervention mate from the Lord to pull this off now.

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Mane, Salah, Sturridge.

Subs: Mignolet, Milner, Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Shaqiri, Origi, Matip.

Bobby not even on the bench  :( ,  we need Studge to step up to the plate and deliver one last time for the Reds.

Midfield looks as good as we can put out though, with Keita injured.

Would love Ox on for 30 mins to get back in the groove.

They've won 6 out of their last 7 at home including a win against Man City. Tough game after an intense night in Barcelona 72 hours ago.

We will miss Bobby badly. Just hope he is ok for Tuesday. Just our luck to lose Bobby who has been integral and Keita who was starting to look very impressive. I just hope Daniel works his bollux off and justifies the £6m we pay him !!
