The good news is, we get a decent rest before the final, so our performance should be spot on.

It was really a touch and go from getting through.
This is the worse Liverpool team that has reached the European cup final, it was almost a European football records for a team to surrender 7 goals lead, but in the nutcase's book everything can happen, which it primarily based on hype and heavy metal tactics!!
All the credit goes to Mane, he was our best player and he ran his socks off, as the rest they were all rubbish, the sign of such rubbish performances were quite witnessed in the last two league games, watch out for Sunday, another hammering might be on the cards.
I have no real prospect of a positive CL final, it has been quite clear the huge difference in class between this Liverpool side and top European teams, the gap is so vast.

I thought we were well below par bordering on ***** !
The front three in particular were at their most frustrating ! Ok Mane did step up and deserves praise BUT Firmino and Salah where miles away from their usual performances.
Sloppy final passes and poor decision making from our front three cost us a game we could and should have won.
Firmino trying more than once to shoot through a wall of three defenders and Salah showing virtually none of the threat/skill demonstrated in the first leg was a massive disappointment.
I'm not out to bash our strike force, everyone has a bad day at the office and for the work they've put in this season I guess they're entitled to one, but this wasn't the time for it.
Maybe as others have mentioned we're "running out of gas" , certainly our aggressive press and sharpness was markedly absent last night.
Ultimately IMO we rode our luck a bit last night at that's when with a 3 goal (later 4) luck shouldn't have even been a factor.
The worrying thing is that eventually luck runs out !![]()
I believe we can beat Madrid BUT we're going need a rested and mentally/physically "Up for it" squad on their A game for the final hurdle in Kiev.

It wasn't the greatest performance by any stretch hopefully it will lead Madrid into a false sense of security.
This team (barring the Citeh game), don't look comfortable sitting back generally. It's like we we caught in two minds and like Klopp said the defense dropped deeper than he'd have liked which made our midfielders having to cover way more ground than he'd have liked.
And I agree with him that we weren't patient going forward, we kept trying to find the early, quick, direct ball and it didn't pay off. We needed a bit more composure and to change tact because we just tried to ping the killer ball forward and forced the issue.
I thought Mane was a beast personally, while Salah and Firmino weren't as prominent Mane took up the slack and did a great job, and he works hard going backwards too. Robinson and Gini for me were the other two stand-outs with Milner in there too.
Klopp needs to give a half-time team talk at the beginning of the final, and tell the lads to play their own game and not get overawed by the occasion - Henderson was guilty of that and looked way out of his depth IMO. Need composure to play our own game tis all.

At Anfield though Roma played with 3 at the back, on Wednesday they changed formation.
The game just illustrated the lack of game intelligence in our midfield for me, the direct approach was clearly not working in fact all it was doing was giving the ball back cheaply to Roma yet for some bizarre reason we kept on flogging the same dead horse.
Where was the on field leadership? Why didn't someone say 'look these are building a head of steam up here and they are eating into our lead but if they haven't got the ball they can't score".
