I'm not convinced Robertson is a top class fullback but he's a better LB than Milner which is a step in the right direction I suppose.

Played well against England recently but didn't watch too much of him last season, good business tho mate, Lucas and Wisdom out for 8 million and Robertson in for 8 million

Klopp rates Milner so clearly feels adding direct competition in Robertson at £8m is good business.

Walker just went for £50m with Sheffield United getting as much in kickbacks we are paying for Robertson.

Not an exciting signing and I have my reservations over Robertson but time will tell.

I think Robertson is a player that can develop into a good player but he'll play cover for Milner next season. And in today's market £8m is risk free.

Aubamayang is quality.  He must not be allowed to go to Chelsea.

I find it strange that no one wants Aubamayang.. He's always looked quality when I've watched him. He's pacey, scores loads of goals, tall and handy in the air. If we fail with either Keita and VVD then I'd happily snap up Aubamayang.. but these 2 are more important at present.

I'm guessing if we weren't spending so much elsewhere we probably be looking at another left back. Can't say Robertson has ever stood out in a good or bad way but will be interesting to see how does with better players around him.

Aren't Chelsea after him? I think what is putting a lot of clubs off is his age and price.
£60m/£70m is a lot of money for a 28 year old.

It is a staggering amount for a 28 yr old for sure. I think we all know that Klopp won't spend massive amounts on a striker. We obviously will be playing Firmino uptop as a regular so really doubt we will buy a 70m bench warmer.
Van dijk, keita (if they happen) and a LB will be the only transfers i feel we will get.

I know there's still a bit of work to do yet but if we do somehow manage to sign Van Dijk and Keita that would constitute a great window imo. We'd not only be signing 2 quality players we'd be strengthening area's that desperately need it as well (CB and CM).

I agree it would strengthen our team a lot. Signing both of them is crucial and i hope we get it done.

A decent window for us would be Salah, Van Djik and Keita as they would be starters and improve the team. I said it a few months ago that if we got those 3 then filling in gaps with players like Robertson and even Gray would be acceptable but not the other way around.
The side has left for the far east and where the real preseason work begins so its worrying that we haven't got a few more signings for Klopp to work with. Even if we are in talks with S'oton and Leipzig then why is it again taking so long. Surely the clubs can reach an agreement within a few hours of talking. The amount of business we have done with them in the last few years the correct people and avenues should already be in place to make this happen with the slightest of effort. With Leipzig they know that they don't want to lose him so if we really want him then we have to pay. Its that simple and by reports both these players are unsettled and us dragging our feet could see them move elsewhere so get it done and stop taking the pi$$.

If keita isn't going to happen then the perfect stop gap would be Matic  :nod
