However, as has already been mentioned, he's not the type of player who will unlock defences with a killer pass. Nor will he burst through the 16 yard box and score a screamer into the top corner.

So he doesn't score , doesn't create , doesn't win the ball, what does he do ? David Brent bought him for about 15m !

Not good enough for the premiership , nevermind LFC .

We are defensively better without Gerrard as a DM. But we are clearly not anywhere near as good as we were with Suarez.

So far we havent adapted at all to life without Suarez.

The lad is nothing more than squad fodder due to him being such a weakling in all areas of the game.

That's the thing with knowledgeable football fans ,they always leave the door ajar for the intellectually barren.

Welcome back

Average player,  tidy enough but doesn't particularly excel at anything. Wouldn't get nowhere near last years top four teams and would even struggle to get into the spurs and bitters teams.  Says at all really. Can just about live with him as a squad player but even that is pushing it.

Rodgers must have had a brain fart when signing him fory £15m

Chris Coleman says in his Wales press conference that Joe Allen has suffered a 'little set back' in his recovery from injury.

He's only average to an untrained eye.

He is a very tactical player who is very good in the controlling MF role. Sadly for him, his LFC career has been punctuated by far too many, niggly, little injuries to allow for the continuity that a player needs to succeed.
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

Surely Allen like Borini realises he has no future. If he wants to have a career he needs to leave straight away and actually play footy for a change.

Tactical player?

Joe Allen is as useless as controlling the midfield as anyone trying to control their own fart in the wind.

He is both mentally and physically weak and should be nowhere near our club.

Alarm bells usually ring when you hear players say, that never in their life did they think they would be playing for Liverpool.   I think he will be happy enough with the games he does get. Rodgers will always play him and he knows it.
