I voted Sakho but id have Milner has second choice more than anything really shows the poverty of choices we have and lack of leadership in the squad. Sakho is the only credible player who has any leadership qualities, the likes of Lucas and Toure are finished so cant be considered and Skrtel is never a leader in a million years. As for Henderson, for me a captain has to be one of your better players to set an example and Henderson just isnt good enough.

A guy that rejected us twice (actually told us once to feck off once), hasn't even played a game for us never mind proving himself and you people want him as captain?

I'd give it to Hendo. It could do wonders for him. You never know.

Sackho - no I'm sorry. Not good enough a player to be captain of our club. Still get the colly wobbles every time he goes near the ball.

Lucas - still think he's too nice.

Can - lets let him settle into that ear-marked midfield role and then, as most of you have written, see what he's like in a few years time. He COULD be some player him.

Milner - no, not on you nelly. Not been here two minutes. At least Hendo and Skrtel would run through a brick wall for the club and bleed Liverpool red. Milner - not sure about him at all. :glare:
[b]I am and always will be in love with them...

Henderson for me all day. The guy is a warrior with the never give up attitude. He's young still, but I honestly believe he'll lead us back to the glory days.

Henderson is a nice lad but not a club captain.

I voted the same as you  :nod

I feel (even though he is new) that Milner has more about him than Henderson and a winning mentality  :nod

Ditto.....a different mentality straight into the squad...just what we need,

woof woof ! » Thu Jun 18, 2015 6:24 pm wrote:I went with Skrtel. Don't think Henderson has the "leadership" qualities needed (remember him being mugged off by Balotelli over taking a penalty ?) and although the incoming Milner has a wealth of experience and maturity I prefer my team captain to have spent at least a couple of seasons with the club.

Skrtel should be club captain all day long on pure game evidence but lot of it goes on what your like day to day in training, behind scenes, things we don't see.

I personally think he's underrated and any mistakes I suspect are down to being part of a very offensive Liverpool team under Rodgers.

In a side that is built to sustain pressure and counter I think Skrtel is a very good, high end centre back, and he leaves nothing on the pitch.

The word is that Hendo has got the captaincy, official confirmation should be made shortly

Jordan Henderson is set to complete his transformation at Liverpool by being formally confirmed as Brendan Rodgers new captain. (Paul Joyce)

Glad Hendo got it over Milner or the LLama tbh.
With any luck now he will raise his game rather than just his voice on the pitch.

Glad to see Lucas among the ones considered for the vice-captaincy, it's a strong indication that he might be staying. Though I guess that might also mean that we won't be signing a new midfielder.
