Worse still, since he decided he was "great" his transfer value must surely have gone into steep decline, forget the £40-50 million some have suggested we'd get for him, take away his pace and there's fk all there.

Just their by playing him week in week out BR cost us 20m Transfer Value  If he could have kept the little boy wonder on the bench we could have made an easy 40...Now we are fcked. Hope it goes out of BR's paycheck.

I don't know Raheem so I can only comment on what I can see of him, which I think many of us could.

Raheem's problem has ALWAYS being his attitude...from the "steady" comment to his girlfriend beating saga to his sisha smoking misadventure,..all these before he's even hit his peak or win fuck all.

Don't doubt he has potential but not the world beating type of talent like what the press are too eager to sell...his main enemy remains himself and his little ego. if City were to offer £50M for him, I would bite their hands off

According to skysports news

We've bullied him into signing a new deal, we've not protected him against bad press and he's disappointed his contract details have been leaked

Heh, I bet Brendan regrets giving him that holiday when the lil f*cker should have been trying to win us points. Can't stand the over-rated pr*ck.

He must go!! His head is elsewhere and he's become a huge liability. We want players that want to play for us, players with pride and passion.

He's so overrated, a player blessed with speed and no football brain. Get him out of our club.

Let me rant on...

Who gives this greedy little moron the right to try and pull this great club down? A club that put him on the map, the club that helped him get caps for his country, the club that's willing to break the balance and offer him 100k for him and his family to live comfortably.

But suddenly he's too good for this club, and makes us look a laughing stock in the meantime. I'm so angry at the attitude of these English youngsters, no wonder we bottle every big tournament with these overpaid, overrated idiots!!

Not really a shock, after he did that unsanctioned interview on the BBC it was just a question of when he was going to announce he's off rather than if.

Although Im disappointed with his behaviour on and off the field in the last few months, I dont think people should be slagging him off publicly. Hes a young kid who is obviously not too intelligent and evidently badly advised. Lets hope we get a good price for him and hope that if he stays in this country he plays as Sh*t as he has been for us this season.

The latest from Soccernet:

http://www.espnfc.com.au/story/2456766/raheem-sterling-to-tell-liverpool-he-wants-out-reports-say

I think he is as good as gone. Obviously realises the club is up s**t creek and wants to jump ship as quickly as possible.

This a dagger in FSG's hearts lads, make no mistake about it.

Their whole shoddy strategy of getting a young manager to coach a young team that will eventually lead to winning trophies is in absolute tatters at the moment.   :no

Dark days ahead.

Carragher on Sterling news

"He needs to change his agent. That’s the one thing he needs to change. For a 20-year-old kid to be taking on Liverpool football club, it angers me to the pit of my stomach.

"Raheem Sterling will obviously move on at some stage. Brendan Rodgers has said he won’t be leaving this summer but it looks like me that he’s trying to force the clubs hand."

Carragher also criticised Sterling’s performances in key games this season and feels the 20-year-old should feel “embarrassed” by fresh speculation surrounding his future at Anfield.

“Last season at Liverpool he was fantastic. Liverpool had a chance at a trophy this season. Where was Raheem Sterling?” said Carragher.

"If you want trophies and big money they won't be given to you, you have to earn them. What did Liverpool win this year? Nothing.

"You’ve got to play well in big games. The semi-final against Aston Villa was the worst game I've seen in a semi-final or final.

"You want to win trophies - the semi-final is the biggest game in the season for Liverpool and Raheem Sterling did nothing.

"If you want to win trophies you have to perform at the highest level. If you want to win trophies you have to deliver in the big games and he hasn't done that yet.

"Keep your mouth shut and get on with playing football. He’ll move on in years to come. Just keep your mouth shut.

"I'd be embarrassed to walk into training tomorrow and show my face to everyone; even the lady on the reception."

Anyone here really surprised by this news? Even remotely surprised? A tiny bit? Seriously?

This is just like Owen's situation whereby he keep delaying, giving shit excuses and buying time not to sign the contract...the red flag should be out way back then and ultimatum given...but to see Brendan keep playing him is just such a total mindfuck!

So not looking to next season especially if Brendan is still around. I had enough of this and it's just spoiling my day talking about this club right now. Totally drenched and saddened to the core!  :veryangry

Why is it that these players we nurture then they s.hit all over the club. Owen, Mc Manaman, Torres and Suarez come to mind. We turn them into superstars and they get off. Sterling is the worst 20 years old and he thinks he's the proverbial dogs. Well he can fook off to wherever he wants to go and if Arsenal want to do a deal with Walcott coming to Anfield I would bite their hand off.(Get down Suarez) The overrated little s.hit so Raheem Bye Bye. Oh and do us a favour take Rodgers with you another overrated A hole. Raheem you won't be missed one little bit
