WTF are our coaching staff doing to sort out the defence, what is BR doing, just keeps swapping players around, changing formations. There has got to be more to it than form, we really need a good experienced defensive coach that can come in and sort out what is wrong. Can't see it happening though, the manager seems to think slagging players off to the media and dropping them is answer. You don't see him slagging off Allen or Hendo though.

Bar the atypical mistake by Can for the pen and the 30 yard shot by their LB that ended in row Z they didn't have another shot at goal, Mignolet was never threatened.
With the introduction of Can and Sakho and Lucas in front of them, pushing Gerrard further forward, getting rid of Johnson and Lovren and with implementing the 3-4-3 formation, we're finally on the right path to create a decent defense.

I don't even think it was a pen, this time last year Eto'o body checked Suarez in a similar fashion at Stamford Bridge and the ref waved play on. Besides Hazard is the biggest diver in the league and was looking for it.
I agree with your general point though mate, I thought we defended superbly all game and to reduce a team as good as them to a couple of speculative efforts was a magnificent effort.

Can't wait for Sturridge to come back to finally see some balance between defense and attack, something that we were lacking last season. There's hope for us yet if we can keep this up.

Can hasn't been at his best recently but Skrtel and Sakho have been immense. If you ever want an idea of how clueless pundits and commentator are just listen to their opinions of Sakho before or during a game. Absolutely clueless.
