Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

Tony I suggest you go and support another club lad because the only embarrassment around here is you with rubbish like that coming from the end of your key board.

How anyone can criticize his attitude, application or performances is beyond belief... He was fouled twice, one was a clear cut penalty and he played his part in the goals with his vision, movement and skill. The lad is different class and without a doubt the main reason we are were we are. Without him, we would be half the side. Pure class... Anyone who says otherwise is brain dead. Simple as that!

Are you giving supporters cards now Stu? Tony raised a valid point without taking one bit from Luis superb season so far. Luis is a great player but he isn't perfect and he has some way to go in the sense of growing up and working on his Mental focus.
If he could drop or minimize his overacting on some of the falls he wouldn't be robbed of clear penalties as against City ,and also avoid getting into potential problem with the Refs.

BTW ,without a lot of players we wouldn't have been where we are so don't put Luis on a pedestal.

"only me" your stance is quite frankly silly. Suarez is by a distance our best player and is the only world class player we have. He makes the difference, without him we would nowhere the champions league places.

Silly? He is without a doubt the player which impacted us the most ,no doubt ,can't argue ,But.....Take Daniel excellent season we are barely a CL team ,Take Mignolet heroics at the beginning of the year same story ,and you can add Gerrard and even my favorite goat rapist Skertel ,everyone played their part to bring us to where we are. We played without Luis many games ,as well as without others ,everyone stepped up and i can't flag one we could do without.

Volubly challenging almost every decision that went against him, constantly mouthing at the ref and hitting the deck in the most theatrical manner when tackled. All of which conspired against him when because of his antics the ref waved away a justified appeal for a penalty against Kompany, (replay confirmed a definite penalty).

What we saw yesterday was not the controlled and brilliant player he's been for most of this season but shades of the Luis Suarez of the previous season, still brilliant but potentially an "accident" waiting to happen.

Agreed and like a lot of fans, I'm getting sick of it.

Suarez has been instrumental in Liverpool's challenge this season, but the nonsense he involves himself in is truly embarrassing at times.

His behaviour this season has generally been excellent. Ok the red mist came down against City but reading your post you give the strong impression that this was just typical Suarez. It's clearly been a while since you were at Anfield if you think a lot of fans are getting sick of his behaviour. Can't the lad have a bit of an off day without some of his own fans having a go.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you want Suarez sold last summer?

No. Although I was certainly angry with him after his ridiculous biting of Ivanovic. Furious.

You're correct though, his behavior has been generally good this season. But, he is getting a name for diving and I think that has bearing on refs decisions.

Don't be so fucking stupid lad. NO player is above criticism. If you've actually read any of the "rubbish...coming from the end of (my) key board", you'll know that I believe Suarez is absolutely instrumental to Liverpool's title challenge and without him they'd be much worse off.

He's an incredible player, but one that gives in to a bit of play acting. So much so, that he is denied clear cut fouls and if he keeps it up, it become the norm and that's not something I'd want to see.

I'm just guessing here but maybe the way Luis screamed, leapt about 5 feet in the air and rolled over about 20 times (whilst clutching his big toe in one hand and waving his other arm frantically in the air) gave him a bit of a clue.

Did you actually watched the replay and observe the trip from several different angles? Luis pace and the way he go face on at defenders made him a handful and an easy target to be fouled. At the speed that he is going at defenders, any slight trip could have took him off balance and cause injuries. At full speed, it might be difficult for the ref to come to a decision but while most would say this is a 50:50 split second incident, I see no benefit of doubt being given by some of our glory-hunting followers over here, and you lots just can't wait for a chance to shoot him down. You know who you are...shame on you! :no

All that people are saying is cut out the histrionics, he may well have been clipped by Dimichaelis but did that clip justify the reaction afterwards?
I don't particularly want to see Liverpool players carrying on like Drogba and Nani.

Get over yourself Santa.

Nobody's looking to shoot Suarez down, what most concerned members are expressing is the fact that whether tripped or not Luis' theatrics are over the top, detrimental to his game and ultimately 'causing officials to view giving decisions for fouls on Suarez with some caution. It was definitely the case (imo) when because of his histrionics throughout the City game the ref waved away a penalty claim against Kompany who, as replays showed, had two hands on Luis and shoved him to the ground.

We "glory hunters" aren't looking to shoot down the most exciting striker the clubs ever had, we just want him to be the best he can be, and that includes criticising him when in our opinion he loses the plot.

But you are having a go at Sturridge for nothing, somehow without even ever meeting him you have managed to conclude that he's selfish when he's no different than any other striker. Where you complaining about Suarez being selfish when he ignored Sterling's 50 yard run against Cardiff? You think Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler looked to square it when they had a sniff of a chance?
What Luis did on Sunday was frankly embaressing, we don't want Drogba-esque and Nani-esque histrionics here.
Remember when we were all up in arms when Ferguson said Suarez goes down very easy? Luis is making us fans who defended him look soft.
