Even if there was contact the way Luis threw himself on the floor and then rolled over about 50 times before doing a headstand made it look like it was a dive.
He was constantly getting involved in petty incidents like not giving them the ball back after they had scored and gesticulating demonstratively at the officials which much have tested the refs patience to the limit, good job it wasn't that ref who sent Mascherano off at Old Trafford in charge of the game or we would have deffo been down to 10 men.

In real time in looked like a shocking dive. You had to see it slowed down several times to even see whether there was contact or not. There was definitely contact but it's more to do with the way he was rolling around like he'd been shot afterwards. Infact his whole demeanour and behaviour on the day was very erratic.

Thought he was caught by the trailing leg but because it's Luis then the media will milk it for all it's worth. Let's face it he hasn't given them much controversial stuff to write about since he returned from his early season ban. His behaviour was a bit strange yesterday. The early booking messed with his head IMHO and down came the red mist. His desire to win does cause him problems and he has got to be careful to make sure that everybody remembers him for the right reasons this season. Looks like Danny might miss a couple of games and that could help Luis get a few more goals and hopefully break a few more records.

the replays on motd last night showed their was contact. granted he made a meal of it but thats what you get with luis, full on passion to win and thank fook for it. ive seen the very same people who slam luis justify people like bale and young  with ***** like "when your travelling at that speed it only takes a slight touch to be up ended". tbh the reactions from both di michealis and nasri in both incidents were similar to being shot but once a card is produced then it sparks a miracle recovery.
the truth is that their isnt a manager or fan in the country that wouldnt love to see him in their colours, warts and all.  he has been fantastic this season and his conduct impeccable so its a tad disapointing to see him being dragged into the gutter again because of a nothing incident in probably our biggest game of the season.

Rodgers needs to tell Luis to keep his shi.t together, especially if Sturridge is out, ever since Ferguson opened his gob refs don't like giving him pens at the best of times so flinging himself around and rolling around the floor like a divvy is going to achieve F##k all.
Last thing we need now is to be relying on Aspas to fire us over the finishing line.
Suarez was close to losing the plot on Sunday, the City players could see it too that's why they were trying to rile him, even Silva was trying to wind him up.

I thought there was a bit of contact, would have been a harsh foul to give.  It was his reaction that made it more of an issue.  He's done a good job this season staying on his feet and letting his majestic skills do the talking for him.

IMO it was a big game and was trying to work the ref.  Not right, but not as big of a deal as it has been made out to be.  Granted the City players made just as much of a fuss over it in their attempts to get him sent off as Luis made of the minimal contact.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

For me he had a bad day in the office but no harm was done.

As I said in the match thread I find it quite a positive that we knocked off Citeh without SAS firing on all cylinders

Volubly challenging almost every decision that went against him, constantly mouthing at the ref and hitting the deck in the most theatrical manner when tackled. What we saw yesterday was not the controlled and brilliant player he's been for most of this season but shades of the Luis Suarez of the previous season, still brilliant but potentially an "accident" waiting to happen.

Agreed and like a lot of fans, I'm getting sick of it.

Suarez has been instrumental in Liverpool's challenge this season, but the nonsense he involves himself in is truly embarrassing at times.

There was slight contact, but he made a ridiculous meal of it.

It really is no wonder that everyone thought he dived until the replay was shown. The reason for this is that he has a name for himself now, due to his constant diving and play acting.

I wouldn't have given him the decision myself, to be honest as I thought he took a dive as well. Can't blame the officials for thinking such either.

He needs a serious dose of cop the fuck on and Rodgers needs to take him to one side again. Because if Sturridge's hammy is buggered, him and Sterling are, essentially, the strike squad.

Both Suarez and Sturridge were well off form yesterday. Sturridge was clearly was off his usual self, when I heard he was injured his performance made more sense. Suarez equally was off form, he looked more interested in diving than defeating his opponent with skill and tenacity. The quality of the opposition may have been a contributing factor here.

However, even with those displays we came through the test and WON! We are a true team.

It was a heart attack game if I ever saw one. When Liverpool were 2 up I was shouting, but STFU when City came back and leveled it. I honestly though they were going to go on and win the match. They were great for a period there and you're right, the two lads weren't on the best game at all.

At the end I was shouting again   :buttrock

A bit of luck involved, but the little fella still had a lot of work to do to get it in.

I don't say "deserve" much when talking about football, because I don't believe it means much, but I really think that Liverpool deserve the title this year and it'll be a criminal twist of fate if they fall at the last few hurdles.

His behaviour this season has generally been excellent. Ok the red mist came down against City but reading your post you give the strong impression that this was just typical Suarez. It's clearly been a while since you were at Anfield if you think a lot of fans are getting sick of his behaviour. Can't the lad have a bit of an off day without some of his own fans having a go.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you want Suarez sold last summer?

The problem when you get too theatrical is that it starts becoming counter productive, instead of refs giving you decisions they give you nothing, even genuine fouls start getting waved away, when that happens then your really up against it, your not just playing the opposition your playing against the Ref as well.
It's like trying to win away in Europe against a homer of a Ref, it's almost impossible to do when every 50/50 is going against you.
we all know that Luis Suarez has had to break club records in order to get us into this position where we can slug it out toe toe toe with maybe the 2 wealthiest clubs on the planet but this is the time when we need him most, we need that leader that leads from the front, we don't need someone who is going to lose his head, the plot and the title by blowing a gasket with the finishing line in sight.
Come on Luis give your head a shake and concentrate on the footy, you are 4 games away from being remembered forever.
