Hope he wasn't talking about Tom Ince....
Heard somewhere that we are looking at Konoplyanka , and could sort a deal by FridayReally?
I'd take Tom Ince over some bloke from the Ukranian PL.

Good addition but what about our Top priority position? This guy will probably take Sterling's place but where the Central MF gap we must fill?
Liverpool launch £15m bid for Ukraine star Yevhen Konoplyanka
Konoplyanka plays for Dnipro and can operate in a variety of attacking positions, on both flanks and behind a striker. He would cost in excess of £15m.
The Anfield club has targeted the 24-year-old after missing out on Mohamed Salah last week when Chelsea gazumped them for the Basel winger.
Rodgers, buoyed by last night’s rampant 4-0 victory over city rivals Everton, said: "Hopefully we can have a major signing before the window shuts.
"I think we will hopefully do something over the next couple of days."
Konoplyanka caught the eye for Ukraine during their World Cup qualifying games with England en route to Brazil.
He scored a stunning long range strike in a 1-1 draw at Wembley in September 2012 and then gave Kyle Walker a torrid evening when operating on the left wing as the rematch ended 0-0 in Kiev 12 months later.
Liverpool have tracked him for months and considered moving for him back in August when a deal for Brazilian winger Willian failed.
But Rodgers is now pinning his hopes of attracting Konoplyanka before the window slams shut on Friday and boosting his squad who bolstered their Champions League hopes with the rout of Everton.
Although Liverpool are in need of midfield reinforcements, Rodgers wants to be able to influence matches by using his substitutes and the arrival of Konoplyanka would allow him to rotate the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling more often.
Rodgers admitted he would be disappointed if no signings were made, but reiterated the support he has received from owners, Fenway Sports Group.
"It couldn't be further from the truth that I am angry with the club," he said. "I came here to do a collective effort to turn around the fortunes of the club.
"The people here are very important to what we are doing and we want to do it together."

Like the fella, think he'll do well for us,a good addition to the squad. I'm just not sure if it's the type of signing we need right now

From what I remember reading about him some time back, He's quite versatile, can play both wings, and as a deep and advanced play maker (sitting just behind the striker). He's strong as well, which is a must for the MF. Please just get it done by Friday.......
We do need to sort the defence out as well though
