Well, I hope it is nonsense, if it's not and they hijack our target, then this will be, what, the 4th or 5th player hijacked from us. Toth1te ,  Cheaski have both done this to us in recent times.  Lessons must have been learnt by now, sort it, this minute if it ain't already. ive said this more than once, I'm convinced that when spurs hijack our pursuits (Ericsson, sigurdsson, Dempsey, etc) it's an intentional strategy. The difference is we are in the strong position now. I can't see them winning this time. Bunch of mugs

Apparently United, Spurs and P.S.G are interested in konoplyanka now, if it becomes a Dutch auction then Ian 'we won't pay over the odds for anyone' Ayre is the last person you'd want doing the negotiations.
I think the club has to draw a line in the sand over this one, we can't keep losing out at the last minute to other clubs, it's starting to become embaressing now.

I'm exhausted from all our transfer negotiating skills. If Ian Ayre fails this one because other clubs are now interested, then he needs to be replaced. It should have been done and dusted by now (well, IMO anyway)

Sounds like spurs are really making a big effort to sign konoplyanka.
Teams know that after the Carroll debacle we have become very tightfisted and because we are so stingy our transfers have become very easy to muscle in on, just threaten to turn the deal into an auction and we go running with our tail between our legs.
That's how spurs beat us to the signatures of signurdson, Dempsey and willian (but then Chelsea ended up doing the same thing to them)
If they do it to us again, especially over such a good player, we will become a laughing stock.
First Chelsea with Salah and now spurs with konoplyanka? What a farce this window would become if we lost another one of our targets to one of our direct rivals.

Think the stories of other clubs being interested in Konoplyanka is *****. Just his club trying to drive the price up and force our hand seeing as we are approaching last 2 days of the window. I think we will get it done, if we are genuinely interested which looks to be the case

I really don't get the way we conduct our Biz...Why can't we carry out confidential ,swift negotiation and get shiite done??? Why everything is on Tweeter? ,you got his Dad talking ,his cat being interviewed..FFS get in their ,close the door ,set a deadline name you price if it works great if not move to your next target.
