Well that was an exciting first half. We've had some good performers in Moses, Gerrard, Henderson, Skrtel, Mignolet and Sturridge of course, but some have been just horrible at moments like Sakho, Wisdom and even Coutinho.

Although Sakho has done well when he actually stood still, when he went diving into tackles and missing them Skrtel (and Mignolet for that matter) had to save his *****. Wisdom, whom I defended these few past days, has been bellow average and Lucas has been average at best as well.

But we're in the lead, we just need to calm down a bit and keep the ball.

This game is far from won.

Sakho is trying too hard to impress and needs to just stay on his feet - he can't win every ball!!  Have no worries he'll be a class signing though.

Wisdom looks a liability and I'd seriously consider replacing him with Toure at right back.

Come on reds!!!

Good first half. I think we'll kick on and win it 3-1.

He's probably shocked by the pace of the game, it'll take a few games to get used to the PL, I wouldn't right him off after 45min

Think he's trying to hard (so to speak) on his debut to impress, he'll settle down soon.

Decent half for us with Shelvey being our man of the match. 

Seriously though, we have looked dangerous going forward and Moses and Sturridge have linked quite well and Moses has been a real threat down the left. I do feel that we need the third goal cause they do look capable of nicking another goal and that is down to Sakho and Wisdom looking very shaky. Wisdom has been poor all round really, his passing has been woeful he's been ball watching a bit and in the second half he must buck his ideas up.
Sakho has looked like the new boy in the class really, he's trying to impress but he's trying too hard and it's leading to mistakes. Two or three times he's stepped up and dived in to tackles committing himself when he should be holding his ground and staying on his feet.

Hopefully we'll impress our advantage on to them in the second half and finish them off 3-1.

Can see a player in Sakho but his eagerness and immaturity is showing in some of the tackles he is attempting. Has been some good touches tho..

Impressed by Skrtel again tonight - he may not be a cultured CB but he defends brilliantly. Saved us a few times tonight and covering for Sakho well.

seems to be trying too hard - knows agger will be back after injury, knows skrtels on form, knows Kolo is... well kolo. He feels like he's gotta show something every chance he gets, instead of playing the neat and tidy game.

Think Shelvey is nervous after making the mistakes. Let grind him down a little.....
