it's a privelege to watch the guy play. a phenomenal player and a born winner. that second free kick has probably overtaken riise vs man u as my favourite liverpool free kick of all time. the bend was insane.

should really win player of the year but wont in a million years due to his "other antics". bale will probably get more votes (bale who's been booked 5 times for diving this season) and so will RVP (yeah must be really hard scoring bucketloads in the best team in the league.

Read somewhere that Gerrard said that Suarez cried in the dressing room after the match.

I don't know if it really happened but Luis really looked like bursting into tears when the match ended yesterday. It is nice knowing that he cares that much, but still, I don't think Gerrard should have said that (if he really did, cos I read it on Facebook and didn't double check it).

I pray he doesn't leave. He's the best player we,ve had since kenny. Yes he's better than Rush Fowler Barnes Owen Torres etc

I had an argument with a couple of arsenal fans who told me Van Persie is a better footballer than Suarez.

Clinical yes, but better passer and better footballer? naah

I'll worry about Suarez in the Summer, expect a lot of media and clubs talking about Suarez, he's in the Top 5 players in the world and he's not at Real or Barcelona so prepare yourself for it. I think Suarez loves Liverpool FC and don't compare him to Torres, please God never compare Suarez to him.

It will take a hell of a lot of money to take Suarez away from us, he won't go to another English club. No chance!

And you know him personally?

alan kennedy is saying in the echo this morning that liverpool have got to do whatever it takes to keep suarez at the club and i saw a couple of tweets from the norwich player robert snodgrass over on rawk -

fair play to liverpool they popped the ball about for fun can see them being title contenders next year under rodgers

best team i have played against this year on their day, they have took 10 off us in 2 games. rodgers building something there

of course they got a long way to go but with the right signings and keep their better players they will be right up there

then jimmy bullard replied

hello son!! at least you know what your on about son!!!

i think even people within the game can see that brendan is building something here and thats why it`s vital that we keep the jewel in our crown. losing luis would be a devastating blow, i know fsg like to keep wages down but considering we are at such a precarious point in our history i hope the owners listen to kennedys advice and do what it takes to keep him here.
you cant compete against the top clubs without having top players yourself and if the `market` dictates that you have to pay top, top players £150,000 - £200,000 a week then thats what you have to do.
owners of clubs like to throw `market forces` at fans when the expect us to cough up £50 to watch a game well it works both ways.
anyway you can still keep a lid on wages but make exceptions for exceptional players.
i dont think you`d get many liverpool players begrudging suarez earning top dollar, they know themselves that he`s in the top 4 or 5 players in the world and he could get that money anywhere, he could walk into maine road next season and earn more than that, so i bet our players just want to see him here next season helping them challenge for the top prizes in the game.
luis is one of the best players in the world and at 26 he is entering his prime 2 or 3 years, if anyone is worth a ridiculous 2 or 3 year contract it`s him

He signed a new contract less than a year ago and I would expect him to support the manager and us fans and stick with us for at least another season and help us bring CL football back to Anfield.

If we don't finish in the top four next season and he then wants to move on although we'd be unhappy most of us could accept it with good grace.

How FSG handle what happens with Suarez and the rest of the team this summer will say an awful lot about their ambitions for the club.

Hopefully they'll turn down any offers we receive for Luis

If they convince him to stay till next season and still fail to invest in other quality players does that show they are ambitious? Because that's the most likely scenario I can see being played out. They've spent fk all since they have been here, not done a thing about the stadium. We may as well sell him now whilst he is hot sht so we get more tbh. Even if we do keep him it's clear the squad has too many weak points overall. Far too many for us to consider top 5 anyway.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

what is there left to say? absolutely world class and easily the best player in the league.

21 league goals this season and equals owen's record of ten away league goals in a season.

the guy's a phenomenon.

20 league goals in a season is a surprisingly tough target to achieve.
back in the day our strikers regularly scored over 20 goals a season but there would be quite a few european goals and strikes from domestic cup competitions included in those totals.
we`ve even had strikers in the past score near 30 goals in a season and still not break that 20 league goal barrier.
ian rush was at the club 16 years and managed it 4 times, robbie fowler was here a decade and managed it just twice and kenny did it only once, the likes of kevin keegan and michael owen never managed it.
luis hasnt even been here 2 seasons yet and he`s already achieved it, and lets face it the side he`s playing in isnt a patch on the teams the likes of ian rush, kenny dalglish and kevin keegan played in.
these days there are only 38 games in a season so to get 20 goals you have got to score at a ratio better than 1 goal every 2 games, in a competative and physically demanding league like the prem that takes some doing, to do it with 10 games to go is just plain flat out phenominal.

Nothing gives me greater joy then seeing the press silenced into submission by Suarez.

Suarez a true genius at work is now getting the support he deserves and it may just be the catalyst that keeps him at Liverpool. Sturridge has been a revelation. Coutinho looks like a sensational buy. Gerrard is playing as well as ever. Downing seems to have woken up! Really good to see Joe Allen getting in to the attack. Johnson and Enrique are also happy to get stuck in a both ends of the pitch. Consistency is now the key!

This guy just keeps coming at you and scoring goals doesn't he. Besides being extremely talented, he also works hard. The way this is going, he may still break some scoring records for us... His attitude nowadays is also very good... gone are the days where he would play videogame football (well almost gone) and going down too easy and arguing with the ref...
