Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

its because of guardiola going to bayern that all these rumours of luis leaving are coming out. his agent is guardiolas brother so journos link the two of them with a move.
i dont want luis to go anywhere for a long time and hope he doesnt.
reality is though that without C.L football he will always be linked with moves away. if we make an assault on 4th this year and maybe just miss out then i reckon that will be enough to keep him for next year but if he does want to go then fook bayern and guardiola and what they think they can get him for, email every club in europe and start a bidding war for him.
as i said though i hope he goes no where and remains a red for a long time to come :buttrock

I think Suarez is loyal to Liverpool but lets be honest about this, if they were to put in a big offer, are offering him higher wages and CL football, of course he'll need to have a good think about it and whats best for himself and his family.

As someone said above, if we put in a decent challenge for top 4 then he will probably stick around.  If we fade away like last season, who can blame him if he goes.

Wouldn't sell for anything under 60M though.  He's just signed a new contract and is better than Torres was when we sold for 50.

Lets be optimistic though, him, Gerrard and Sturridge are gonna fire us into top 4 this year  :nod

Add Hendo to that list. He's looking more and more like the player he was at Sunderland, making runs into the opposition third.

Back to Luis, it's plain as night and day that he is a great team player and makes everyone around him better players. He's already bringing Sturridge into play and in-turn, Sturridge has responded. That itself is a massive confidence boost for me as I feared we'd see the selfish aspect of DS more than we could bear.

Yer wanna be honest ? Lets start with not kidding ourselves about "loyalty"

McManaman, Owen, Torres all broke our hearts.

Not knocking Suarez, could hardly blame him if he moved on, but let's grow the f'uck up "loyalty" from a player to a club and it's supporters nowadays is as rare as rocking horse sh'it, and more especially when the team is not already sitting at the top table of club football.

Well if we are going down honesty street let just remember it isnt a one way street

If i recall there were plenty of fans who be happy to flog off like piece of meat a class player like Alonso after just injury riddled poor season to get Barry

Im sure if Suarez current form dips for a short while they be a few who be remembering how he damage the club image

Plastic age we live in these days n both on and off the pitch

Finishing with some good news , Everton dropping points at Soton :D

Luis Suarez - The Best at what he does since Kenny Dalglish...........................

On the loyalty/moving/staying debate you cannot knock the guy for wanting to play at the highest level in Club football and for him that means the Champions League.

If we don't make 4th this season (and I don't think we will) and a Barca/Bayern/Real Madrid come calling then I can see him moving on.

The second half of the season will go a long way in persuading an ambitious and wonderfully gifted Luis Suarez to stay or go. His partnership with Sturridge looks more than promising and if Coutinho does hit the ground running and performs well for us it might just be the deal breaker. He and his family are obviously happy here despite the appallinging one eyed and bias press he seems to receive week in week out but bad publicity from media sluts won't make his mind up cos basically he doesn't give a Sh*t ! ;)

I still have hatred for Mcmanaman.
He happily coasted for at least a season to do a bosman so he could cash in and leave us with fu'ck all after being here since he was a kid

We were partly naive for not selling him the season before.

Thommo you do have your moments. Liverpool fkd up over the sale of Steve McManaman. They refused £12m from Juve etc etc.  He won virtually fk all with Liverpool during a very lacklustre period for the club. Looking at the following stats I can't really blame him for going to Real Madrid and firmly believe that the club made the most enormous and extremely arrogant mistakes with both McManaman and Owen. The attitude by the manager and the directors was such that they believed nobody would leave because there was nowhere better.Got to say I prefer to remember him for the good stuff rather than getting all bitter and twisted.

Here are McManaman's honours:

Liverpool
FA Cup (1): 1992
League Cup (1): 1995

Real Madrid
La Liga (2): 2000–01, 2002–03
Supercopa de Espana (2): 2001, 2003
UEFA Champions League (2): 2000, 2002
UEFA Super Cup (1): 2002
Intercontinental Cup (1): 2002
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years 20/21 to 24/25  (10 years
are in brackets 15/16 to 24/25 )
LFC €300m (€420m)
Everton +€33m (€211m)
Arsenal €557m (€853m)
Spurs €571m (€684m)
Chelsea €945m (€1051m)
Man City €370m (€1038m)
Man United €687m (€1240m)

But Owen though... wasn't he promising that he'll sign a new deal? But I think that he was sold at the right time. We could have made more money from him though.
I'm glad that, unlike McManaman, Owen won f*ck all with Real.

But we got f*ck all for him, £7M if I remember correctly.

Imagine what would have happened if Suarez had have kicked the ball boy. Public execution probably hahahaha. That "boy" is 17 by the way! He was hilarious after he was kicked, lookin at the ref and rollin around like he was in agony, deffo got the makings of a prem player. By the way just seen this on sky sports: "Breaking News, Everton bid 10m for Swansea ball boy as he holds on to ball longer than Jelavic"
