A positive point.......only 3 games gone. 35 left.

If we win those 35, we will win the league!!

Lets try and take our chances in the next games and not make silly mistakes in defence.

Please, I'm 23 years old and if I live for another 53 years we still won't win the league in my life-time. This club will undoubtedly head the same way Nottingham Forrest and Leeds.

wrong thread. Take it elsewhere.

To get it back on track:

We have one of the youngest squads in the league.

We also have a settled back5 who (recent mistakes aside) have proven to be reliable at the highest level. Reina (30), Enrique (26), Agger (27), Skrtel (27), Johnson (28) are the right age and bring much needed experience in an area where it is needed the most.

Add Gerrard (32) and Suarez (25) whom we all agree are yet to play their best football for us, and the impressive Allen and we have a strong spine to build on for the near future.

If we manage to hold on to the names above and add the right players to help them then we are nowhere near as far as some (manager and owners included) are suggesting.

true, this is the best kit we`d had since the hitachi one in the early 80`s imo.
the away one`s rubbish but the home one is excellent.

The shortage of squad players ,may just for once be a godsend ,and could see a steady flow of talented youngsters break into the first team .

And we have shiny new red nets on the goal posts.
They look well smart, last seen in the 90's.
If Brendan is to be remembered for one thing, it is bringing back those nets.

We've had a very difficult few days and the owners have a lot to answer for because BR has been hung out to dry. Not only that but he's been given a baptism of fire in the fixtures we've been handed for the first 5-6 games. To be honest I can't see us beating Sunderland or United, in fact I can see us being beaten by Sunderland and thrashed by United.

Our squad has been stripped down and now there is only a skeleton left, if Liverpool finish in the top 8 then it will be a miracle and Rodgers will have overachieved. The managers post at Liverpool is now the most unworkable job in British football (apart from the England post). The history and the fans are inadvertently killing the players because of the high expectations which weigh - a now mediocre club - down and also hold it back. Combined with this is the poor support from the owners, embarrassing off-the-field fiascoes and a ridiculously bare squad. All of this spells to me that this club is in crisis and it is very difficult to find a positive because we find ourselves in a situation where we look like relegation candidates.

Yes we lost to a quality team and WBA, then drew with City but when I look at our fixture list I cannot seem to guarantee a win anymore. Our players will eventually get sick of losing and end up not giving a Sh*t, just waiting it out until the end of the season to move on. The owners have made a grave grave error and we the club will pay for it. Are we the new Villa?

So here is my positive - we're three games in, no wins. BUT, we've played 2 teams from the top 4 already. That's all I can muster. It really is that damn depressing.

Well, the 25 man squad registration (over 21 years of age) wasn't a problem.  We have a list of 20.  4 of them keepers.  :wwww

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

I would be more depressed if the players we had were sh'ite, but weve got some very good players. In fact I cant think of a bad one?
We are short on strikers and confidence is low so this break could do us the world of good and get the team bonding.
We played well against Arsenal but were exposed and fairly beaten. Senior players must take on more responsibility and the younger players must be encouraged to play without fear. The players need support not criticism, and definitely not booing!
Not all rosy in the garden but far from the doom and gloom some would believe
