Optimism: Looking at the positives..

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Don't think there will be much bonding going on over the break.  Just about every senior squad member is on international duty.  Even the ones that get slated and called shlte.  Although I suppose Cole and Lucas can play FIFA together.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

- Exciting brave new manager
- Raheem Sterling
- Jonjo Shelvey
- Joe Allen
- Excellent defensive unit
- Best is still to come
- Massive opportunities for youngsters to break through

It really can only get better form how it is now, but we really need one of these young strikers to step up and be as confident and good as Raheem otherwise where in big trouble.

He's made a lot of changes in personnel + style of play/ tactics. I guess it will take more than just three games to work properly.

As BR has stated, the window is shut now and we have to move on, so a positive for me is seeing some talent youthful faces who will hopefully get their chance to shine in the Europa games.  Full 30 man squad is listed below, would love to see Suso have a run out.

There is a positive for some of these young lads who now have a real chance rather
than being shoved further down the pecking order or out if we had made new signings.

We may as well try them now and see if they take their opportunity to impress.

the only sunshine i can see from this gathering of dark clouds is that at least there will be a chance to see how our next "robbie fowler" morgan fares.

Some people go on like were in a crisis I think were in a better position than tottenham who i bet most people will think be up there challenging this year.

Weve scored the same amount as Arsenal has this year and they spent a fortune on their strike force understandebly they lost RVP.

the positives are obviously joe allen and sterling. that plus the fact it's a long season and we'll only get better. right now we're still at a very early stage of our development. we've had a very good performance against city and other than that four pretty average/poor ones against hearts, arsenal and west brom (where we actually played quite well in the first half i thought) which were littered with individual errors which have cost us. our start has been particularly hard and it wouldn't surprise me if we lose the next two games aswell. after that we'll start picking up points though. our start is very reminiscent of arsenal last season who got spanked 8-2 at united, lost 4-3 at blackburn and everyone said they had lost it and wenger had to go. eventually they turned it round.

if we buy a decent striker in january then the top 6 is still a possibility. if we don't then top half is my only real expectation.

Yes apart from the forwards who are extremly inexperienced, as said before one of these youngsters really needs to grab their chance and shine, we need the next Fowler or Owen to rise up.

In the reserves maybe. I bet he doesn't even get called up to the first team squad.
