Do you not understand the current situation at the club and the lack of any football direction

Teams are currently pursing players for next season and we are doing what ?

Think you may get a sharp wake up call soon enough and then you will understand why currently the majority of the fanbase ( IMO ) are very worried for the future , very worried about our owners , and very worried that we have no direction currently.

Anything about a self funding stadium is pure pie in the sky.

We'll have a new manager within 10 dayand the same will go for the people behind the scenes. According to twitter (and the grape vine) AVB is favorite to take over and, for me, that will be a massive step in the right direction.

I think the stench of what football is slowly but surely evolving into is apparent to most ,but the fact remains its the fans who shout for the team
not the owners not the manager and certainly not the motivation of money . What happens when the core of that support is silenced by this new
ruthless set of goals ?

I have serious reservations whether fans will deem it worth making that journey to Anfield to watch a cup game that is nothing more than an
inconvenience to the owners quest for a Champions League position .

The same AvB who spent 82 mil at Chelsea and took them from 2nd to 5th - will look forward to that improvement

Martinez was favourite yesterday

Rodgers the day before.

What happens if AvB doesn't move us forward ? Have you considered that ?

Liverpool is getting the shake down it needed after the H&G era, and it'll finally be run as a business that will make money, fund its own stadium and be the envy of the world. It's a pity people like yourself are too narrow minded to see that.[/quote]

Where's the news about the self funded stadium...what's the timescale for this.....and when is it , we become the envy of the world....will we have lots of trophies as well or just rich shareholders

IF...IF...IF...no doubt you'll be here to say i told you so, as i am now.

82 million on the likes of Mata...yeah, you're right, a complete disaster. I bet Chelsea fans wish he spent that cash on the likes of Downing, Adam, Henderson and Carroll...

Then again, we might not get AVB...we might get someone else, but we'll have to wait.

You yourself are dealing in ifs and maybes - there is no guarentees yet you are acting as if sacking Kenny was the cure for all our problems ?

And when does this self funded stadium start construction ?

everyone is quick to jump on Ayre's comments about needing CL football, but the fact he said Liverpool was going to be run as a business has passed everyone by.

Liverpool FC MUST be run as a business...otherwise how can we pay for a loan to build a stadium if we are losing 35 million every year?

because of what happened at chelsea AVB will be under pressure from the start.
it`s all very well saying give the manager time but if we have a bad start and start shipping goals fans will be thinking we`ve seen this movie before at chelsea and dont like how it ends.
thats what happens when you employ someone who hasnt proven yet that he can hack it in a big league.
appointing AVB would be a risky move, we could at christmas be looking at appointing our 5th manager in 2 years.
benitez, hodgson and dalglish are good managers, if it went wrong for them it could quite easily go wrong for a young inexperienced manager.

you borrow the money and pay it back with the clubs profits, hence you pay for it. Want me to draw you a business plan, or will another IF situation arise?

I'm just wondering how many of Chelsea's signing were actually AVB's? It's a well known fact that Roman likes to purchase players he thinks Chelsea needs, he's the one who brought in Shevchenko when Mourinho was manager and he was the one who brought in Luiz and Torres when Ancelotti was manager. It was evident by Carlo's body language when asked about those two targets that they were not his targets. Romelu Lukaku had been on Chelsea's radar three years prior to AVB becoming their manager. Let's not kid ourselves here, Benny, it is Roman who makes a majority of the transfers in and out of Chelsea. The manager is just there to ensure these players play as a team and win matches. AVB took on too much, too soon, he went into a club with ridiculous expectations and an owner who undermines the manager at every turn.

A manager doesn't go from being a good one to a poor one, just because of one sour appointment.
