I just find the predictable backlash against our owners to be rather tedious. They saved our club from the brink and now idiots from here are sending childish insults and clapping their hands at their own 'hilarity'.

Was you happy with the sacking of Dalglish?

Many of us wasnt and shows through our actions. Our Loyaltys and respect to the king will never fade away. A when an action which myself and many others deemed "unfair" you want to have your say and air your opinions to be honest why be on twitter if you dont want people to follow you and post to you.

For once I actually agree with you. I fully supported Rafa, Hodgson and Dalglish but their comes a time in every managers career when their actions simply aren't working out and it would be idiotic and irresponsible of a clubs owners to simply ignore that there is a problem. Rafa had a degree of success but in the main the football was sh.it. Hodgson was never really given a chance and now he ends up a few points behind Liverpool with West Brom with no money! Dalglish's run in the league has been awful and he has broken a lot of club records that we would have preferred to have consigned to history! It's easy to criticise the ownership when you are not writing the cheques.

I understand what you're saying mate, but they ain't signing cheques out of the goodness of their hearts. People pay massive amounts of money to watch our team, and the Americans will be hoping to make a penny or two from this. Let's not forget that.

All we’ve heard in the last couple of days is people moaning saying they won’t go to games anymore, telling FSG to f*ck off, ‘media hates us’, 70s this and 80s this, blah blah blah. We haven’t won the league in over 20 years because our fans and the club have resisted the need to evolve. Kenny is not the right person to take this club forward. I thank Kenny for his work, wish him all the best for the future and look to the future.

Or we could all be like you creaming ourselves over the way the board have gone about things, sacking almost every c*unt at the club, with no direction, no heart in place and prostituting ourselves to the likes of Martinez and Lambert - who incidentally has just turned us down, and quickly becoming the Chelsea of the North by sacking manager's Heimdall style after one fu.cking full season if he doesn't get us the money spot.

I like the way Ian Ayre speaks from a businessman's perspective, you can tell that he has never been a supporter of a football club. Winning trophies is what it's all about, McDermott is spot on with this comments. 4th is not an achievement, ask Arsenal supporters who are desperate for some silverware in their cabinet if 4th is a success. 4th from a business point of view is a success from a business perspective, from a supporters perspective, it means you're the 4th best team in the league. It's a hardly the cause to get the party poppers out and the Caterpillar cake from Sainsbury's.

So much rubbish is being thrown around at the moment. Kenny was primarily sacked for finishing closer to relegation than fourth place. You’d think that people would take this as a sign that the owners actually want to move towards our ultimate goal of winning the league but people are questioning their ambition? FSG’s goal is the same as ours, to win the league.

Some of you sound like absolute dinosaurs moaning about 'modern day football' and coming fourth versus cup success. As Carragher said, playing in the Champions League is a spring board for challenging for the league, and not the end goal itself. Winning the league cup was great, but Champions League qualification is essential if we want better players.

Yes it’s sad that Kenny has gone but there's no need for the fans to lose the plot. Kenny and Comolli have themselves to blame for being sacked. Together they overspent on mediocre mid-table players and Kenny decided to put these players straight into the team and persisted with them regardless of form and ignored the players like Kuyt and Maxi who helped him get the job in the first place. If we’d had a topsy turvy season (rather than got into a rut for 4 months) and finished in 6th or 7th spot only 5 points off a Champions League place I’m sure Kenny would still be in a job.

Sure FSG have made some mistakes in the handling of the situation but people who believe Kenny deserved more time surely can extend the same approach to FSG? After all this is their first time managing a football club. I don’t think Martinez and Rodgers are the way forward but there is nothing wrong with wanting to include them in the interview process.

And I'm happy FSG are conducting interviews and being through in the selection process. Nothing wrong with it at all. David Dein was seen alongside the owners at two consecutive games at the back end of the season and rumours suggest he may be acting as a consultant in terms of hiring the manager and a number of other positions at the club.
