Although i have been extremely disappointed with KK's tactics, substitutions...etc, i didn't want this.

I wanted steve clarke, kevin keen and all the scouts gone. Not KK. At the very least, i thought KK would become the next DOF.

If owners want champions league football with a good run in it....only a few managers can give u that. Benitez is one of them.

We have ruthless owners and that is clear now.

Daggers mission was to deliver 4th, or close to it, and when he didnt manage
that then the heat was on him, Carling Cup or not. You may not like it, or agree
with it, but that was the situation.

Its a shame its not worked out but it hasnt and now the pressure is on Fenway
to deliver a top notch manager of real pedigree to Anfield. Anything but that and
your looking at another G &H type scenario with the tables turned on them.

This is modern football mixed with big business and not the Liverpool of old and
we have to accept that now.

The game has changed and until Fenway find someone that pleases them Dalglish
will not be the last casualty no matter how long they have been in charge.

Just got home from work, put on SSN, and find that KK has been sacked. Shocked really, thought he might be given another season at least. All the best to you Kenny.

It's now upto FSG to deliver a top of the bunch manager. Let's wait and see what happens.

So what's FSG plan now? Start all over again AGAIN?

Sure sure, get rid of everybody and bring in new people, that will work out great for sure!

Excellent.

Hopefully thats the end of the old liverpool ethos of "give people time"... as we close in on a quarter century without a league title.

Its an extremely harsh judgement on Kenny, and as i said he should have got 1 more season.. assess it at Christmas.... but the owners are showing zero tolerance on mediocrity which is a major positive. The key thing now is appointing the manager that backs up this ruthless winning ethos.

Let me say something a bit different. If FSG are not going to build that much needed new stadium, appoint a much better manager and give him lots of fund to spend on quality players, they should be the next to leave our club as well.

As a fan I feel sad our King and Legend was sacked, a bit harsh but Kenny's major blunder was he wasted all those money on duds like Carroll, Henderson, Downing and Adam. These 4 dud players must be shown the door as well, they don't deserve the wear the red jersey. I don't want to see them ever wearing the red shirt.

Fair point, but are they going to back that manager up financially to get us where they think we should be.

100million aint gonna do it.

Are they the new Abramovich?

i look forward to the new man failing to get 4th next season, being sacked, having to pay all his staff off and then starting again from scratch. we've basically become chelsea.

That's what I was like two years ago when Rafa left. I am concerned about our overturn in managers. 4 managers in 4 seasons doesn't make for good reading.

Yep, it looks like FSG have decided to go 'their' way and the pressure is firmly on them now to deliver success. Time to wait

If they appoint their man and he becomes a successful manager for us there will be a lot of people with egg on their face, that's for sure.
