Since when did Andre-Villas Boas become a great manager? He won the Europa League and the Portguese double with Porto (the strongest Portugese team) and what has Rijkaard done since he was sacked from Barcelona? I can see us with Martinez or McLeish that type of manager.

They both know how to win though! Martinez - yes, McLeish - f*ck off! I'd rather Brendan Rodgers than big eck!

According to Skysports, Kenny has been sacked and Roberto Martinez is favourite to be his successor. Well I'm sure 7_Kewell will enjoy watching us play Championship football next year.

also tweets say that Kenny did say back him or sack him, they said they will make their mins up and kenny said sack me now then.
looks like that might be true. Kenny pushed them to make their mind up.

I find it hard to believe he was pushed, I reckon Kenny's gone out of pride, the owners are maintaining their gameplan to go for a younger manager etc... hence not giving Kenny the cash he wants.

if that happens thats the wrong move there mate. I'll give Martinez 6 months and he'll be out.

Dear next LFC manager. Get top four or you're sacked. That's the message isn't it?

I am absolutely devastated. I had every faith that he would turn it around. I'm fuming!!!

I've tweeted John Henry to say I hope he knows what he is doing!!!

There's been no mention of Dalglish's departure on the .tv website, I guess FSG must have sacked the website team as well.

If the reports are true then it is another sad day for Liverpool FC under the ownership of Americans ..........what chances of a wigan manager or perhaps an ex Aston Villa manager getting the least sought after job in football ..... nobody with any creditable ability applied for the job 2 years ago and unless there is a mountain of money to spend, history will repeat itself this summer....

The message is that you are expected to challenge for a top 4 position (not necessarily achieve it) with the resources we have. If you don’t there will be an inquest which may lead to your sacking, especially if you have come up short in other departments like PR, player acquisitions, etc.
