Kenny Dalglish leaves Liverpool manager's post
Kenny Dalglish has left his post as Liverpool manager.

The 61-year-old has paid the price for Liverpool's poor performances in the Barclays Premier League.

Dalglish's departure comes after he held face-to-face talks with principal owners John W Henry and Tom Werner in Boston on Monday.

The Scot had been expected to depart on holiday on Wednesday but he postponed that and remains on Merseyside.

More to follow.

Since when did Andre-Villas Boas become a great manager? He won the Europa League and the Portguese double with Porto (the strongest Portugese team) and what has Rijkaard done since he was sacked from Barcelona? I can see us with Martinez or McLeish that type of manager.

ticker bar under the presenters says sacked, or did when i looked last. I'm gutted, poor league season or not, 18 months was never enough to pull the club around. I'd like to think they offered him a place upstairs, but if they sacked him I'm not convinced he'd take it. For me it brings a new low to the club, fkn disgustin if they have sacked him

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

SO fcuking Gutted!! If he had of had a feckin striker of decent quality, this wouldnt of happened.

Give it to Stevie Gerrard. If he has half the passion and intelligence as a player, he'd be a world class manager

Gutted, just gutted.

We've been so unlucky this year, at times we've played glorious football and at times we've been pisspoor! But 1st trophy for 7 years, Gerrard injured for most of the year, the whole Suarez debacle and two cup finals.

He deserved another year, ynwa king we still love you!!!

f*ck. This shows so much instability, sacking a manager only after 18 months. The season was poor, I agree, but Dalglish should have been given at least one more season.

But what's done is done. Who do we get now?
