It does not make sense to go to the expense of bringing someone new in at such short notice who will no doubt want to bring his own team and want to buy new players. This will not guarantee success and will be far more expensive than keeping KK and investing in a couple of new faces
They will give him one more season and review it at christmas. If its no good he will go, probably jumping rather than being pushed

I completely disagree, what a shock  . As a businessman it is much more dangerous to have any business run by an incompetent manager and sometimes you have to take a financial hit in the short term to get benefits in the longer term. I have no faith that kenny will improve as a manager becuase neither he or his team have shown any growth during the season, they have just been getting gradually more disjointed with the occasional blips of success.
As for building a new team, this will have to be done anyway, to a certain extent becuase there is far to much extremely expensive dead wood in our squad at the moment.

Because it takes longer than one season to put a plan in place and get players to gel and move forward when you have replaced half a team.  If you are just adding 1 or 2 players to a team it is easier but last season we where adding Carroll, Suarez, Adam, Bellamy, Henderson and Downing.  We also lost Gerrard and Lucas for most of the season and Agger was missing during a spell when we should have been picking up more points than we did.  Yet we still managed to dominate all but a few games in possession and attempts stats.  The league results have been really bad, but the performances have not, convert more of the chances we have created and we would have won more games, no need to press the panic button just yet and get another new manager in.  3 managers in 3 seasons is more Chelsea than Liverpool and something I dont want to do.

Thing is Fenway will be taking a punt if Dagger stays or if they decide to let him go.

There is no right or wrong way here, and all you can do as an owner is go with your gut
feeling and let the cards fall as they may.

The main think is that both Fenway and Kenny are on the same page because if there is
hint of doubt or mistrust either way we will have problems. Its got to be a clean break
and I mean a clean break, no director thing or moved upstairs, it wont work.

Fenway have themselves had a poor season and forced into sacking several high profile
individuals they trusted to put their plans and vision in place. They have to get it right
this time and the crunch will be do they fire everyone but Dalglish or just clear them
all out and start with a clean slate.

We got dismantled at Man City, Man U, Spurs, Newcastle.. we played a dreadul Chelsea side under AVB, and the weakest Arsenal side in Wengers 16 years.

Thats just the top sides. We got outplayed and outpassed by Swansea home and away.

Trying to put some positive spin on our worst league season in 50 years is just weird, and desperate. We have an eighth place squad and have gone backwards after spending 110million. If Kenny is sacked (which i dont want btw) there could be no complaints.

I'm a bit confused! You have come out with your usual long list of negativity and yet you want Kenny to stay which is about as convincing as your amazement that Carroll didn't start in the FA Cup final. Let's face it if it was anybody else they would be sacked. Kenny's performance is probably only slightly better than McLeish considering the funds that were made available to Kenny so why should he keep his job? I know why I want him to keep his job but I'm genuinely interested to know why you think he is the right person to take us forward given what you have written all season.

Its not great improvement but its in the right direction.

it astounds me that people are already discussing possible replacements for the manager when he's still in a job. the way i look at it is, kenny is the manager and deserves backing. if and when he goes then i'll discuss possible alternatives. infact it sums up what i said when kenny got the job. i said it was risky for him to come back because even though he is an icon at this club, i predicted that some of our fans would crucify him if things didn't go as expected, despite the fact that he drastically overachieved last season. and here we are less than a year after he's got the job full time with some already talking about successors whilst he's still in a job.

kenny deserves another season to rectify his mistakes imo. that said if he was dismissed after his meeting with the owners i wouldn't be entirely shocked. i hope it doesn't happen though. what precedent does that set? what would happen if the new manager went out in the first round of both cups and finished 6th next season? would fans want him out aswell?

To be honest i don't really give a Sh*t about the cups, the crucial thing is th eleague and we have to get back ito the top4 within 3 seasons otherwise we will be finacially hampered. I cannot see kenny achieving that and that's why i want him out. As long as a manager is progressing then i will give him more time but we as a team are going backwards and I have no confidence in kenny as a manager.

That's not 110 million though is it - it was around 56 mil

Dont you give any credit?

We beat Arsenal at the emirates, beat chelsea twice at stamford bridge and were narrowly beaten at old trafford. Yes we lost when we shouldnt have but some of our performances were great and we deserved more than we got. There would be plenty of complaints if KK was sacked from fans who appreciate whats happened this season. The positive spin is merely the optimists who seen some good stuff and believe we will be better next season

The only optimism stems from that he has done better than Hodgsson and that doesn't say a lot.

You are astouned that after witnessing the worst, shockingly boring, negative football since 1954 people discuss replacements for the manager??? After outspending all clubs in Europe, youre shocked that people are not content with 14 losses and 10 draws and a pathetic 14 victories? The only astounding thing here is you.
