of course it`s a concern but to be fair it`s not as if we have played that badly, look at those recent losses, firstly the arsenal game at anfield, it was probably our best performance of the season but somehow we ended up losing the game, the next defeat was away at sunderland, a dour game on a pitch that was a throwback to derby countys baseball ground, we probably shaded the game itself in terms of general play but lost to a freak goal. Martin o neill himself said after the game that they probabaly didnt deserve to win it. the next one was the QPR game where we played well, scored 2 goals and missed a host of other chances but our defence went into kamikaze mode in the last 10 minutes. the wigan game was just a poor performance, we didnt even start playing until carroll came on in the second half.
the newcastle game we started brightly and with a different ref they would have been down to 10 men and we would have had a pen but we ended up losing when skrtel got caught out at the far post and the recent loss to west brom was like the alamo.
it`s worrying in the sense that we are not getting the results our performances deserve but on the other hand i dont think we are a million miles away from getting it right either.
it`s not as if we are getting played off the park week after week.

I know that mate (or 3 wins as somenoe stated, soz, forgot who), and it's not good...don't you think "relegation form" has a lil scent of sensationalism? We're not even close to being relegated. Nothing new is being said in this thread. We're just going over and over it, flogging a dead horse. I'll be concerned next year if we make no progress. I believe we've made progress this year. Kinda like writing a song...in bits and pieces the song isn't complete. It takes time and energy to shape it. Then one day...voila! A complete song, all fitting and clicking into place. Kenny's been with us a year in his second stint. If we were to fire Kenny now for this years "relegation form", do we try someone else? And if he dosen't have league success in his first year, fire him too? And the next guy? Where does it end? Why should Kenny, a Liverpool legend, a loyal servant with this club in his heart get only one year when a knew guy might get longer?

I just wish folks would give Kenny time. It is possible to stumble outta the blocks in sport. Ya might never catch up in that race, but in your next race, well...it's a new race and maybe ya wont stumble this time.

I've seen progress this year and feel encouraged for next year. We haven't won the title for years and years and years, so why do we expect Kenny to come in and bring instant success? Football dosen't work that way mate, and you know it.

Houllier's team took 34 points from the last 78 available in 02-03 (43%) and finished fourth in 03-04. Kenny's team have taken 20 points from the last 57 available (35%) since the away game at Villa just before Christmas.

With the right moves in the summer next year can be better.

Of course, things are getting better at Anfield, slowly, but surely we're getting back up from being knocked down.

Dalglish needs to start putting round pegs into round holes instead of trying to jam square pegs into round holes like he's been doing all season. I expect there will be a lot of transfer activity, but I doubt as much money will be spent this summer as last summer, that's just my hunch. Kenny needs to get a system organised, know his best eleven, know his formation and tactics and stick with it. At times his starting line ups and formations this season have felt like experiments and that's not what I want to see in December, half way through the season.

Hopefully Kenny knows our weaker areas and focuses on strengthening those, we need an attacking center midfielder who will makes things happen and give the forwards plenty of service, we need a genuine right winger which will free up Henderson for a central midfield role, we need a striker to partner Suarez, someone who will get 20 goals, plus a season. We could also do with a center back as I do not like Carragher being anywhere near the first team due to the fact he's a liability nowadays and the small fact that Agger is nearly always out for large sections of a season through injury.

We've reportedly agreed an £8m deal with AZ Alkmaar for Swedish attacking center midfielder Rasmus Elm, though nothing concrete has come through...yet! Never seen the lad play mind you, hopefully he'll be one of those 'gem' signings, if he does actually arrive at Melwood at some point in the summer.

next season we finish 5th and 15pts off 4th and have no silverware to show for it.
what do we do then?.do we give him a second year? and if he fails again do we give him a 3rd?.

we have absolutely no reason to get rid of kenny and i hope he gets another year and does even better that this one to sicken some of the haters on here.
this thread in all fairness doesnt belong in this section of the forum and should be moved to the polls and voting area.

I'm sorry is someone forcing you guys to contribute to this thread? If not then shut the feck up, this thread is for peopel who want to discuss whether or not kenny shold be replaced. I am still of the strogn opinion that he will be replaced regardless of what any of us want, I am also of the opinion that any replacement will have us playing much better.

not if its brendan rodgers or roberto martinez  we wont.
then again maybe brian mc dermott might float your boat next season :eyebrow .

Did we not beat Blackburn with 10 men just a week or two back?

Seriously though, yes our league form has been a concern.  Perhaps its hard to motivate the team once top 4 was gone and we still had the cup runs going.

If our league form next season is as bad as this year then id also be thinking about new managers.  I just dont believe it will be.
I think we'll do well in the transfer market and get off to a flier next season.

we've won more than 2 surely......... are you telling fibs again

perhaps next year we can take our cup form into the league programme and have a 100% win record...that would be good...
Is anyone concerned we may win too many cups this seasoon on the cup form we are in at the moment.

Are you people really that lazy to actually check how many we've won?

It's 4, Wolves, Everton, Blackburn and Norwich. Nevertheless, that is still poor.

Don't want facts to get in the way of a good wind up from some individuals so desperate for Liverpool to fail....

Not a good performance tonight but really the two ex players on LFCTV could be a bit more supportive and less critical of a team which has probably never played together before tonight.
