Our problems for all the focus on the attacking players, is in the non possession phase.
Here we are nominally set up in a 4-3-3. The defacto set up is another story.
However u cannot set up this way and not press the ball as a unit. We show high pressing and then back off. We have three fwds and they are not involved enough in the non possession phase. Then we have three CMs with only the inexperienced Spearing as the nearest thing to a specialist DM. Thats why N/Castle have looked dangerous everytime they've had the ball.
We cannot seem to decide whether to press fully, push the defensive line higher, or to truly sit deep and counter. The result is we are in a tactical no man's land- between and betwixt....
This will end 2-0..
