I love Kenny, but I miss the Rafa days when we were smashing Real Madrid 4-0 and Manchester United 4-1.

It is going to take a while for those days to come back.

We had Rafa - such a shame he was sacked a lot on here wanted that to happen.

None of them can be disapointed??  FFS Kenny, don't serve us dog sh"t sandwiches and tell us it's caviar....our league campaign has been a joke

its self preservation. These are his signings, hes hardly going to come out and state his signings are pap.

This is the weakest squad we have had in a long time. We are relying on a 31 year old to keep returning from injury to save us (as per usual) as theres very little else.

My one major concern is we have owners who are new to the sport, will they "get" whats happening? It was they who sanctioned the 35million purchase of Carroll.. and when they seen the astonishment in reaction to it only then did they realise what they had done. Henry came out all defensive (it was Torres money etc etc) and tried to save face. To hand out 100 million (75m of which was spent on midtable level English players) without ensuring it was well spent smacks of owners who really dont know what they are doing. Kenny has benefited from having owners who are very green to the sport, its brand new to them. I have terrible fears that the owners wont know the right course of action needed to be taken to get the team back on track...their appointment of Commoli shows they have no idea and put it in the hands of someone else. You cant imagine David Dein saying.. sure Kenny, heres 55 million for andy carroll and jordan henderson.

My concerns run much deeper than just Kenny, its the owners who are running the ship and not since Souness have we looked worse league wise, while a squad filled with average players has been assembled for a fortune

Also it doesn't matter where the player comes from.

I'm pretty sure Dalglish could have signed better players then Adam, Carroll, Downing and Henderson.

Newcastle signed Demba Ba, Papiss Cisse, Tiote and Cabaye. I'd rather have those four in our team than the four we have in our team currently. They cost a small fraction of what we paid too.

I honestly cannot believe what I saw tonight, it's a performance and result straight out of the Hodgson days.

It's a joke and it's been on the cards all season. But hey, you need 500 million to finish high up, eh?  Explain that one to me again, when Swansea overtake us inthe league

People like you need to f*cking take your head out of your ***** and realise we needed to build from scratch - just over 12 months ago the club was nearly out of business and our top players were leaving in droves.

We took years to get back to the highest level and it took 18 months to fall back down - it is going to take longer than 12 months to get back there again - there is no quick fix, unfortunatley fans like you expect it to happen sharpish .

We are currently winning trophies - yes "mickey mouse" according to some but it is something to build on .

The main problem these days is fuckwits who demanded Rafa gone because we didnt get 4th after one season now demand we get it now and if not we rip up the book and start again - and then wonder why it doesnt happen within 12 months.

It's not just getting 4th...it's making progress. It's showing a clear direction in regards to style, tactics and approach. Kenny hasn't shown any of that. And how the F**k can we progress when Kenny refuses to accept our team isn't good enough??  Answer me that on a day when Kenny publicly announced that our squad is playing at the top of their game.

Does that mean that carling cup win , is nott papering over the cracks!?

C'mon Thommos perm, state ur case this time.

KK Should walk now

Yes I do, go tonight KK. Why?.....

1.we are are already in Europa league next season.
2. We will not improve or get 4th spot this season.
3. We are a lot worse and have declined since Rafa was in charge. Rafa, at least got us into top for easily most of time.
4. Even Blackburn have won more than us at home, a team fighting for their lives.
5. If Woy Hodgson was in charge now, you all would be SCREAMING FOR HIS HEAD! And dont lie.
6. Our average signings have not played badly once, but for most of our league games. They are consistently poor.
7. When Stevie g came back from injury before xmas and came off the bench, we immediately looked a different team with an extra 3/4 gears. Proving that adam henderson and the rest are welk out of their depth

Well i suppose we would at least go down in history as the first club to sack a manager mid season after winning one trophy and getting to the semi final of another.

When did we turn into Chelsea and demand the manager walks when things dont go our way ?

That is a symbol of modern fans and modern football.

my other concern is the damage has been done

The owners already forked out 100 million. How much more would they be prepared to waste?

Then theres the 20m plus we lose out on each season when we are not in the CL.

Another league season like this one, and another poor group of signings, and Steven Gerrard another year older (almost 33), we could be firmly planted in averageness. Luis Suarez will not be hanging around thats for certain.

oh come on.... we're not exactly building from scratch.

At the point of the buy-out we had: Reina, Agger, Skrtel(who's been a revaltation), Johnson, Gerrard, Kuyt, Torres (who left replaced by Suarez and Carroll)... not exactly sctratch!!

We spent millions upon millions and Dalglish's league record this season now matches Roy Hodgsons (points per game).

Last ten league games: L D L W D L L L W L That's not progress, that's relagation form!

BUT I'm not suggesting for one second we get rid of KD now

A year ago we were playing some great stuff and had a win ratio on a par with the top sides with Kenny in charge - my question is what the hell has happened between then and now? Is it simply down to the players that came in during the summer, is it tactics or dressing room disruption? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON??

it may surprise people to hear i don't want Kenny sack right now either...but can someone please tell me how we can improve if Kenny RESFUSES to accept our squad (and his signings in general) aren't good enough.

It won't happen and that's why i fear he has to go. He's blind to the fact that Downing, Adam, Carroll and Henderson are a historic waste of money...and if he can't accept that then he has to go
