The worst thing about the Suarez case here in England is the hypocrisy. Every media outlet, every pundit has had a say and it is taken as gospel. I watched Garth Crooks on Football Focus and his reaction to Suarez not shaking Evras hand, to people like him, and the media, it is one dimensional. Suarez is the bad guy and that is it.
John Barnes, the voice of experience, who has suffered throughout his career, has spoke the most sense, but has been ignored. Why? well simply because he hasn't jumped on the Suarez is evil bandwagon.
And like I said this is the worst, the hypocrisy. You can point out all the misdemeanour's of every single person involved, but for today, Suarez is the evil one. One player who can barely speak English is expected to know better than everyone else, whose hypocrisy is keeping them from knowing better.
Bill Shankly: “I was the best manager in Britain because I was never devious or cheated anyone. I’d break my wife’s legs if I played against her, but I’d never cheat her.”
