Actually Ajax denied inviting him. They invited Heitinga apparently but not Suarez. They also said he wasnt planning on attending the game anyways.

Would have been a bad move if he had decided to go. No way the club would have allowed him to do it.

Why would it be a bad move?
He has served his ban and apologised for not shaking Evras hand.
What more should he do? He would be there as a supporter of a team he used to play for. Whats the harm in that. We must get hundrerds of people who are ex players and supporting our opponents at Anfield. Whats the problem?
Are you saying the Mancs would behave disgustingly and not treat his with honour and respect? Would they threaten and humiliate and intimidate him?
Wouldnt that be hypocritical and shameful?

Suarez ain't goin no-where, not any how, not-no-how

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez will be determined to restore his image in the Carling Cup final, according to one of his closest allies.

The Uruguayan is on Sunday expected to start at Wembley against Cardiff as his employers seek to win their first trophy since 2006.

It will be just a fourth appearance for Suarez since he returned from an eight-match ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra, and Cardiff fans will follow the trend of greeting him with boos.

That, though, will just inspire the 25-year-old to change the minds of his critics, thinks his former team manager at Ajax, Herman Pinkster.

.Remote Record.."Luis is someone who values loyalty more than money, I believe the internal support for Luis at Liverpool has been strong and he will never forget that," said Pinkster in the Daily Telegraph.

"Luis will know it was not such a wise decision not to shake Patrice Evra's hand. He will want to change people's opinion of him.

Ambition
"I see a different perspective than others. He will be even more determined to show everyone his football skills.

"When he makes his mind up about something, he sticks to it. That is what happened when he was determined to leave Ajax and move to England and his ambition then was to improve himself and become an even better player.

"Outside of football he is one of the greatest guys I have ever met. He is so determined on the pitch and sometimes it is that determination that is a problem for him."

Pinkster is also adamant Suarez is not a racist and the incident with Evra came as a result of a misunderstanding.

"It does not matter to Luis where you come from. What matters is if you can play football," he said.

"He never knew the impact of the word he used in England and it was the lack of knowledge of the English language that has caused a problem."

Ajax fans singing "there's only one Luis Suarez" love it!
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

C'mon, that apology was forced from upstairs.
Suarez will always bring hatred from Manure from now on.
If we played them tomorrow I'm not 100% sure he would shake Evra's hand...

honestly if we played them tomorrow he would shake his hand imo.
what luis needs to do is put his side out and simply tell it how it is.

"i exchanged words with patrice evra during a match and for some reason patrice was under the impression i racially abused him which i categorically deny.the fa inquiry and the aftermath of that has tarnished my reputation unfairly and labelled me something i am not.it is because of this i hold some resentment towards patrice for instigating this and i cannot forgive him for the pain and humiliation he has caused both myself and my family since this incident had happened and although i will shake his hand the next time our teams meet,it will be a gesture of sportmanship and nothing more".

i would also like to thank my new pr spokesman red till i die!! for his finely worded statement and in helping me put my side of the story forward.

So what if he wouldnt?
What right has that little cu'nt to demand that ANYONE shake his hand? Never mind someone who feels aggrieved by him?
Suarez should be protected now against bigots and racists who would boo, insult or intimidate him. He has served his ban and should be able to do whatever he wants and go wherever he wants as long as its legal

The Evra thing is done now but I reckon Suarez thrives on the controversy and playing the villain.

All this kind of drama is food and drink to him and only serves to improve his performance for us, the more they boo, the more they put him down, the better he will play.

I doubt the Evra thing will be his last time in the spotlight and we can expect more interesting and controversial moments from Luis as thats just the way this lad goes about his game.
