I laughed when I heard that and he did look pretty happy at end shaking hands with lads.

He is now the past though I always be left wondering how him and the Suarez would have worked out.

Bit like a few years back wondering how it would have gone  with Alonso laying in through balls to Owen

Chelsea forums are blaming him every time they lose ! So I half inched that pic and stuck it on one of them ! :D

It is amazing though, it wasn't long ago they were creating a million and one excuses as to why he isn't scoring. Its took them all this time to realise, hes gash.

I'm staggered at how big a flop he's been for them.  He's right up there with Shevcheynko now, surely?  At first I was livid he left and was absolutely thrilled to hear about him struggling.  More and more, though, I'm just relieved we got rid when we could still get top dollar for him.  Surely he'll be off back to Spain before too long.

The problem with Chelsea is that they sign players and hire managers based on their reputation a lot of the time.

From top to bottom, they need to agree on things like backing a manager, agreeing a style of play and ultimately signing players to fit that vision.

I hope they continue as they are though of course.   :D

Torres isn't gash. We know that better than anyone. however during the end of his sulking at Liverpool and the whole time he's been at chavs he's been off form. not finding the net, not getting things right, getting tw@tted by Agger etc etc he's not been used properly and when he has he has been dropped into a team that doesn't suit his style of play.

yeah on second thoughts...     he's gash :D  and long may it continue right up to the Chavs selling him for £15 million then I hope he finds form in Spain and becomes a legend.

Where will he go in Spain? Don't think Barca need him and it's not gonna be Madrid. Malaga?

@Richard_Buxton_: #CFC ready to listen to offers Fernando Torres in January, according to @neilashton_. Make of that what you will.

From the Mirror

Chelsea are ready to take a £30million bath on Fernando Torres and sell the striker in January, according to a report.

The story claims the Blues initially wanted to loan the out-of-form ex-Liverpool hero out in the hope he'd rediscover his scoring touch, but are now prepared to let him go altogether for around £20m.

Less than a year ago, the Londoners, then managed by Carlo Ancelotti, paid a British record £50m to bring Torres to Stamford Bridge.

Ancelotti was fired at the end of last season and Torres, who has scored just three league goals for Chelsea, has failed to win a place in the side under new boss Andre Villas-Boas

Also, tomorrow's Daily Mail front page says Chelsea will be selling him for 20 mill.

It's like this..if the love of your life cheated on you with some bloke you couldn't stand, things didn't work and she put on 10 kilos and lost her good looks, would you take her back?

Personally I'd be looking for someone younger and hotter :D
