he'll do ok at arsenal though as he'll fit in well with his refusal to shoot all the time and look for the final pass.

Meireles is a decent footballer and did well for us in his time here. But he is no great loss and here are three reasons why:
A. He is a bit part player who would not have been guaranteed a place in KK's team. Therefore he wouldnt have had much influence on our situation. Plus he wont tear up any trees at chelsea because hes not that great.
2. He is a sh'ithouse who never tackles or wins the ball and therefore, according to some, not cut out for the PL anyway. I am far more disappointed that Aquilani has gone as he is class and would have fitted in better with the attacking football we are playing
and
D. We didnt lose any money on him. Not that Im arsed about getting more than we paid, but at least we werent ripped off and we have some good additions to what weve already got.
KK has done good business since he has come back and I have total faith in his decisions and the players he has bought and kept. He has a vision and all those moaning and slagging him off (directly or indirectly) should show some faith and support in the mans knowledge and judgement.

Yeah TBH, he wasn't really anything special.  We signed him when we had feck all money.
The only reason he wasn't completely replaced this summer is because we had so many other important positions to fill.

Him and Aqua didn't really want to be here and Im sure in January we'll sign a class CM.

i actually think hes more of a kunt than torres, torres left us when times were bad but raul was part of the up and comin and was vital, to leave so late and to chelscum then hes a top level kunt, gutted hes gone but f*ck him. traitin tw@t.    think we shud bring back aquilani tbh.

come liverpool this has spurred me on more now

torres was part of the reason times were so bad. ok he was used pathetically under hodgson and his archaic style of football but him moping around looking sorry for himself all the time hardly helped.

having said torres did contribute a hell of a lot when he was here. raul doesn't even compare. scored a few goals in a golden month period and that was about it.

Was a tad disappointed when I heard Meireles had gone but hey ho, life moves on. He obviously wasn't in Kenny's plans at the outset because how sparingly he has been used. The fact that he wasn't even on the bench for the Bolton game speaks volumes. Obviously Kenny waited for him to hand in his transfer request so nothing could come back on him :D
With Gerrard, Lucas, Henderson, Adam, Spearing, Shelvey, Maxi, Downing and even Kuyt(to a small degree) I think we have a midfield full of so many different permutations it's a very exciting time ahead :nod
