Roy Hodgson has dismissed reports that Alberto Aquilani could make a premature return to Liverpool.
The Italian playmaker has flourished since his temporary return to Serie A and it had been suggested he would receive a shock recall to Merseyside to provide cover following Steven Gerrard's recent injury.
But Hodgson insists that the midfielder, who failed to justify his £17.1million price tag during his one and only season at Anfield, will remain at Juventus until the end of the season.
He said: "I don't think there's any chance of that. The loan spell is quite clear.
"I think he's loaned out until the end of the season so we won't be able to bring him back until then."
