Yes.

There are many buildings too close to Anfiel. These buildings makes it impossible to expansion.

If i'm not mistaken alex , those houses are empty and LFC own them .

Correct
So extend the stand back, turn the pitch round and its happy days
The kop will become the main stand and vice versa

What if they put a glass roof above the stadium and made it a birds eye view stand where everyone has to lay belly down with their face on the glass looking down.

The redevelopment or expansion has more cons than pros.

can you expand on this? I just want to hear why you think this that's all
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

once we got all the homes in the streets near the club i felt that it was much better to expand our old ground, can anyone dig up them drawings that guy made of how we could add onto our old ground. he did them about 7 years ago, they looked great and he worked out that we could get 20.000 more seats in.

i love the history of our ground so i am very happy if we stay.

the old ide was we could go to the Millennium Stadium for a year. the prem had no problem with this idea when that fan asked them, god what was his name?

Problem solved  :D

I recall going on a stadium tour once (about 15 yrs ago) and the chap giving the tour mentioned that Moores was looking into redeveloping the Main Stand but it was only possible to increase the capacity to 50-55,000 by doing this. We'd probably have to expand on all the stands to get anywhere near the 60-70,000 seats we're looking at

From what I remember the last time they investigated redevelopment the initial investment considered against the increased match day revenue made it an unattractive proposition compared to a new stadium which would not only increase capacity but also corporate hospitality areas and provide more space for sponsorship/advertisement.

I know fans won’t like this but the conclusion purely from a business point of view and looking into the future was that the new build turned out to be the more sensible option.

Also remember when looking at the views in that pic, We can go up.  Yes a bit of ground nees to be available for this, but it's not impossible to go higher and create a shitl load of more seats.

There just isn't the room.

From those images posted earlier the extra room comes from a combination of an extra tier and the change of gradient on each stand.

Currently our stands have a very straight gradient. Whereas newer stadiums make use of a sloped gradient that gets steeper as you progress further back.

What is clear is that any redevelopment of Anfield will take seasons, redeveloping one stand alone will be a push between seasons (3 months max).

I take it by seasons you mean the likes of summer, winter etc ?
Not football seasons ?

Yes football seasons.

A redevelopment of the magnitude seen in those pictures will require significant structural changes. Especially if a new tier is added.

So many factors that will make a logistical headache. I can see them trying to tackle a single stand each summer.

Serious question: if you turn the pitch is it still Anfield?  ???

Also the Kop would run down the side of the pitch?

Seems unworkable.

The last few years I lived on merseyside I lived in Runcorn but taking a car was never an option for me and me mates. We couldn't have a bevy then (well, at least 1 of us!). And when I lived in Liverpool prior to that, you just got the bus.
