sadly that seems to clear up the stadium issue for now.personally i'd much prefer a redevelopment of anfield and that might be the best option in the future and they could do it in stages as not to affect matchday revenue too much.the stadium is one of the only ways fsg has left of really boosting income so im sure they will be constantly looking at ways to make something happen.
anyway as long as they are willing to invest on the field, for the moment thats all that matters.

The big problem is we will never ever be able to compete in the market if this isn't taken care of.
Especially with owners who wants to run it like a business with profits invested in the team.

NO stadium=mediocre profits=small investments in the team.

We won't win the league without it.
We must get it done so our turnover increases, which allows for higher wages and trasfer funds.

There is no real quick fix to get back to the top.
Getting the stadium situation in order is the only way that allows us to compete long term.

Deloitte -

Three clubs generate more than €100m from matchday revenues Real Madrid, Manchester United and Arsenal, with FC Barcelona just behind at €97.8m. Each of these club's matchday revenues equates to more than €3.5m from every home match they play.

The seventh ranked club, Liverpool, earns only 53 per cent of Barcelona's total and less than €2m (£1.6m) per match - highlighting the stark polarisation that exists, by this measure, between the top few clubs and the rest.

Well, those figures aren't as bad if you have a Chelsea or City type owner, but how can anyone realistically believe we can compete with those numbers as a busniness model.

Just not possible...
And this nostalgica **** about keeping Anfield just as it is
will only serve to hold us back, nothing more.

There are no excuses. make a choice, extend Anfield to 65000+
or if that isn't possible, move!
Doing nothing hurts us for every day passing by.

Build me a copy of the Millenium stdium and I'd be the happiest guy out there. I do not have an issue sharing with the bitters, the Italian clubs share, why shouldnt we.

I invite folks to respond without getting 'tribal'.

I truly believe the moment you ground share you dilute the significance of the club. Sharing a ground is the equivalent of a family sharing a house with another family, neither will ever feel like they have a home.

For Liverpool (and most other clubs around the world) the ground is home and needs to be unique to the club.

Other clubs may very well ground share but not out of choice. We have a choice.

I really cant see the problem. We build the stadium and rent it out long term to Everton when we are not using it. It's not like there is true hate between our fans except for bragging rights etc. This way we will still in the long term be sole owner and both clubs gets the benefit of a modern stadium. In all honesty it would be better for both clubs if both could achieve better results though I'd still love for them to go down:D.

This way we can also tease them about owning their own stadium.

We could call the the Renters instead of Bitters.
