where will we play if they're going to redevelop Anfield....i mean, judging from those pictures, half the ground will be knocked down and rebuilt and that'll take at least a year to complete

I'm loving the idea of redevloping Anfield, how they they pull it off though is another matter. Anfield is as part of LFC as anything else, the number of great nights there should continue - it certainly made me happy when I heard they were looking into redevloping rather than a whole new stadium

Has this been looked into before? I'm sure there was a discussion of how practical it was to redevelop and that moving was the better idea...I can't remember it fully but I'm sure something along those lines was discussed before

That's great news.

NESV have done this before.  The Boston Red Sox where also very happy with their stadium because of it's traditions, so they made it bigger.  It costs less and keeps everybody happy.  Well most people happy.

The redevelopment or expansion has more cons than pros.
Dont get me wrong I would love to stay at anfield but the new build looks like its more viable

There are many buildings too close to Anfiel. These buildings makes it impossible to expansion.

I can't see where we can get an extra 10 to 15,000 seats if we stay at Anfield.
There just isn't the room.

From those images posted earlier the extra room comes from a combination of an extra tier and the change of gradient on each stand.

Currently our stands have a very straight gradient. Whereas newer stadiums make use of a sloped gradient that gets steeper as you progress further back.

What is clear is that any redevelopment of Anfield will take seasons, redeveloping one stand alone will be a push between seasons (3 months max).

I take it by seasons you mean the likes of summer, winter etc ?

If i'm not mistaken alex , those houses are empty and LFC own them .
