No one can deny that Dalglish is a legend at the club but his appointment would be a mixture of Nostagia and Desperation in my opinion.

Others have intimated that we need a long term vision and Im confident that the owners share that long term goal.

The danger is that fans react to current form and therefore ther call for Dalglish gets dragged out as some sort of Panacea for all our ills.

If we truly are building then my personal preference would be Paul Lambert (current managewr at Norwich). One of my mates is a big fan of the Canaries and Lambert has been a revelation there since taking over 18 months ago. He has taken them from the foot of Division 1 to the top of the Championship in 18 months and they play attractrive football , sell out every home game and he's attracted players who want to play for him........Plus he's Scottich ! :D

Good post Dlglish. But, you picked the wrong successor. Owen Coyle is the Scot we need. HAs Prem experience and a footballing philosophy.

Thats the future. Lets not lose the chance to get the best up and coming manager and regret it by appointing a older one like Hiddink, or a young one like Deschamps. Because the fact is, we need a long term appointment and the foreign managers wont stay so long. Apart from Arsene, they tend to stay for 3-4 years max.

I totally agree, KK is the guy we need to turn things around, we'd probably end up in 5th place by the end of the season with Kenny in charge.

A ridiculous story if I ever heard one. There's a reason why Kenny is where he is within L.F.C. That's from the outside looking in, proverbially speaking that is. He's proved in the past he can no longer handle the internal sh*te that goes with football never mind the exterior cr*p. Leave things be as I know the board and the club itself has our long term visions in place.

No, for all the reasons stated above.

I voted yes for a feew reasons. He would unite and galvanise the support in an instant . He would command instant respect from the players and would have them playing for him straight away . He bleeds LFC and knows how we work . This is the man that won the double in his first season in charge and continued to win and produce great football teams till the day he left . That was all to do with hillsborough and he was ready to come back to us and leave blackburn , it's in the book . He is a genius and you don't lose that . We can't do any worse than under roy . It will give us the rest of the season to target a manager with a vision (if kenny isn't up to it ),because hodgson needs to go now .

I voted yes too for a few reasons.

1)  Fan's would be united and trust him.
2)  99% of the players would respect him.
3)  He can't be much worse than Roy, but could be much better.
4)  The season is almost a write off anyways so if we're gonna fail, why   not fail with the King.
5)  If he did really well, maybe we wouldnt need to look for a "world class" manager.

Agreed with this, as a short term option and a care taker manager, why not, surely we can improve under him under the reasons Igor stated.

for the long term, I don't think he is the man (as much as I love him).

Rash decisions are not required. We knew that in the short term we were facing some bleak times.  Hopefully the board will appoint the right man in the summer and we can start to build.

So is it better to end up outside the places for Europe with a truly mediocre manager then?
The simple question everyone needs to ask themselves is this, Would Kenny do a better job than Hodgson and restore pride to the club? If the answer is yes then he needs to be brought in immediately.
I don't see Kenny as the long term solution but a short term to stabilise the club and get us playing to our abilities again and if it works out then why not have him as manager longer term.

I voted yes.

I cant see us picking up many points away from home if we carry on under Roy.
Kenny until the end of the season wouldnt be as bigger gamble as keeping Roy until the end of the season for me.

Dont you have pride in the club? If not why not?
Would you still be a supporter if we were relegated?

I have love for the club, but to be honest I'm getting sick and tired at the moment of the amount of abuse I get from people who quite rightly take the p!ss out of the team I support so I think the pride probably has taken a dent by being managed by a complete fecking moron who knows b@gger all about the club.

Fair enough
But there were decades when I took the pi'ss out of everyone else. We have fallen, without doubt, but it is not all doom and gloom and a couple of wins will put us back in the mix. Lets see how the players respond in the next couple of games.
