Personally, I don't think Roy is up for the job. He got so many short comings and always get out coached by the opposition. But one thing i can't deny is that he is trying very hard. Unfortunately, the result isn't there. Be it as bad luck or else, it doesn't matter now as fans are demanding results. I can't speak for others but for most of my friends that had supported Liverpool for Decades, they are all frustrated but the most frustrating thing is that even with the dismal performance so far, we can still have a chance to get back to the Top 4. In order for us to remain competitive, we can't afford to miss champions football again. Once we miss again, things will spiral down and it would take a lot of money and effort to recruit top players again. We are really in an awkward position. New Owner that may or may not understand the importance of Champions football. If he uses the Red Sox mentality and apply the same philiosophy from baseball, we are doomed. For baseball, they have draft picks but in football, we don't. If you are bottom of the league in Baseball, you don't get relegate to a lower league, you remain in the Big league. You will also get rewarded with the highest draft pick if you are the worse team. So, if you are the worse team for couple of years, you are certain to have some really good young talent in your farm. My point is the club need to do something fast. It is almost Xmas and just imagine if Reina, Gerrard, Torres or even kuyt, Johnson, Joe cole all left the team next year, who are we going to play? It is not like our reserve are stacked with talents ready to contribute. But if the ownership is going to tell us fans that we will rebuild for the next 5 years no matter we are in the premier league or down in championship, fine. But honestly, i don't think the owner is willing to do that giving they don't want his club to devalue. Just hope the owner will catch on and realize the emergency and what is at stake here.
