If he stays its probably not because we "are not as cheap as newcastle", but because its unlikely that we will find the quality manager we need before the summer. We just have to wait until next season to see where NESV can take us.

We are playing the same way as last season, not better nor worse. Its down to quality, I agree, but its also down to the manager to show some improvement on the field with his tactics and getting the best out of his players. Roy isn't doing a good job motivating or setting up his tactics away from home, he isn't good enough, we need new ideas.

that's fine mate. If you dont think he's up to the job then you're entitled to your opinion. At least your posts are constructive and you raise debate. Other post abuse and petty insults

Some guys on here remind me of spoilt little kids who've been told xmas is cancelled. They're nothing but whining glory supporters who've got no class and don't know how to act when the chips are down. God forbid if we had a crisis like Leeds or Man city and dropped down the leagues....would these fans hang around? would they fu...

Id still be there mate , dont worry about that , but the whoppers on the phoneins would be long gone, an id be fecking made up.
And we nearly had a leeds crisis mate, but were was you

where was i?  I wasn't here, that's for sure..click

Why didnt i suss that you was gonna throw that up, ,

Did your just convienatly forget everything else,

As i said were was you , when we nearly done a Leeds, did i accidently walk past you while you was standing there wandering what them soft a,rses are doing marching and handing out leaflets ,protesting , trying to rid vermin from a club you are quite happy to have got ridden of i presume .

I was probably at a press event in london with Broughton actually. Remember, the guy you (and the rest of the ROY OUT crew) claimed was only here to destroy our club and sell our best players to Chelsea.

good for you , he done his job , what he got paid thousands of pounds to do, and yes at the end of the day i was thankful and now hes back supporting chelsea . While we are left with Roy, surely you can see he has to go, and as soon as, even i know none is that soft to want him still here

Nan, i'm not saying he's going to win us the league, he isn't. However, it would be nice if people actually put forward some constructive criticism...

i.e "i would bring in XXX as manager because he can build us a team to win the league"

it would also be nice if people accepted that no one wanted the job, and Roy was the only manager to apply. I want us to be in the top 4 as much as the next red, but it pains me to see people acting like Newcastle fans and slating the manager with petty insults. To me, it's like when 'fans' boo the team at Anfield. It's not the Liverpool way.

The new owners will be watching Roy and i'm sure you'll get your wish soon enough. But it has to be with a long term replacement...another short term measure will not work

No bleedin chance.

I couldn't believe it in the summer and I still don't fucking believe it now.

He's up there with managerial journeymen like Alan Pardew, Alan Curbishley, Peter Reid, Sam Allardyce and Gordon Strachan.  All would not be given a top job at a club that inspires to win things, he is part of the G & H era and he needs removing immediatly.

Its very hard for me to understand the mentality and shifting rationale of Roy's supporters here, except perharps the difficulty in admiting they were wrong from get...
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

Hodgson is in serious danger of having a nervous breakdown ,if all that vigorous face rubbing when Barton scored their second is anything to go by ...the longer the man stays the more detrimental it will be for his overall health ,surely a man his age shouldnt be subjecting himself to this sort of mental cruelty ...watching his reaction to Bartons goal made me actually feel sorry for the man ...but there is only so much sentiment you can give ,Hodgson is way out of his depth ,and the club will continue its downward spiral while he remains in charge ........the time for change is now and quickly before we lose all momentum completely ..

Personally, I don't think Roy is up for the job. He got so many short comings and always get out coached by the opposition. But one thing i can't deny is that he is trying very hard. Unfortunately, the result isn't there. Be it as bad luck or else, it doesn't matter now as fans are demanding results. I can't speak for others but for most of my friends that had supported Liverpool for Decades, they are all frustrated but the most frustrating thing is that even with the dismal performance so far, we can still have a chance to get back to the Top 4. In order for us to remain competitive, we can't afford to miss champions football again. Once we miss again, things will spiral down and it would take a lot of money and effort to recruit top players again. We are really in an awkward position. New Owner that may or may not understand the importance of Champions football. If he uses the Red Sox mentality and apply the same philiosophy from baseball, we are doomed. For baseball, they have draft picks but in football, we don't. If you are bottom of the league in Baseball, you don't get relegate to a lower league, you remain in the Big league. You will also get rewarded with the highest draft pick if you are the worse team. So, if you are the worse team for couple of years, you are certain to have some really good young talent in your farm. My point is the club need to do something fast. It is almost Xmas and just imagine if Reina, Gerrard, Torres or even kuyt, Johnson, Joe cole all left the team next year, who are we going to play? It is not like our reserve are stacked with talents ready to contribute. But if the ownership is going to tell us fans that we will rebuild for the next 5 years no matter we are in the premier league or down in championship, fine. But honestly, i don't think the owner is willing to do that giving they don't want his club to devalue. Just hope the owner will catch on and realize the emergency and what is at stake here.

I would just like to add ...I believe I have become much more tolerant since I have abstained from pouring copious amounts of alcohol down my neck ..... however its an absolute bastard trying to sleep ..... :)  but even with my new found capacity for understanding I still find the current managers inability to manage this club decidedly annoying .....however I do find it a source of great amusement how some posters still persist in defending the man ....  :alien:

Yeah that was one of the strangest reaction I've seen from a manager.  Really bizarre.

Frankly i worry about his health too .... with that high stress and at his age ... no-one want to see him collapse during the match or after the match ....

Someone needs to tell him to walk out now ... before its; too late ..

First off lets get this one out the way I didnt post when we got beat by Spurs or Stoke, secondly to call me and other people glory hunters because we dont like Hodgson is quite frankly ridiculas.
Those of you that hated Rafa and wanted him are you glory hunters? See the hypocracy in that?

Those of you being most vocal in your support of Roy, wanted Rafa out at all costs, and its killing you people that Roys here its just bravado.

This is the only Liverpool forum that he has a following on even the whoppers on the offal want him out.
But then again this forum was the most vocal in wanting Rafa out coinsidence? No I dont think so.

Why should I back a man I have no belief in?
Will he win us the league? Will he sh!te !!!
Will he win us the CL? Dont be feckin daft !!!
Will we be in the CL next season? Not unless another manager comes in asap !!!!

He's doing one thing well though he's breaking our records all over the shop the last time Liverpool where on - goal difference at this stage in the season was 57 years ago.

The last time we where in the relegation zone like he had us there a few weeks ago was also 57 years ago.

We are 17th in the away form league table http://www.statto.com/footbal....way
lets all get behind the manager hey, the manager who cannot win away from home, the english manager who knows the league inside out but cant win away from home why?
Because he's totally clueless and sets the team up first and foremost not to get beat and play for a draw.

Well Im sorry but its not good enough for my club, we expect to be challenging for every trophy thats on offer, i dont give a rats @rse if everyone hates us I prefer it that way instead we are being told other clubs like us now that nasty fat Spanish waiter has gone.

Wonderfull good old uncle Roy has friends everywhere whys that?  Because other managers are guarenteed 3 points against him when we turn up at their gaff, Fergie loves him, why? Because he is not and never will be a threat to him, never in a million years.

His whole out look screeches negativity, his demeanour is of a mediocre manager who cant believe his luck that he's been given the job at Britains most successfull club, he trys as much as he can to lower our expectations well I am not having it, I dont care he's making us a laughing stock no fears us any more and god forbid Blackpool could even do the double over us since when should we feel fear of Blackpool turning us over twice in a season?

Since we have a manager so far out of his depth that he's drowning and taking us down with him, steady the ship  ??? Iceberg ahead !!!

NESV need to act immediatly otherwise I question why they bought the club in the first place, our best players will leave if he stays Nando & Pepe wont stick around to be turned into english players, no CL for the forseeable future if he stays he will take us back so many years we will end up also rans like Villa, Blackburn & Everton mark my words !!!!

John Henry said we are winners, and we like to win about the Redsox, well Mr Henry our manager is making us look like total losers and if you want a return on your investment in the near future do the right thing for my beloved club before its to late.

Liverpool have taken just five points from a possible 27 on their travels – their worst tally at this stage of a campaign since 1962.

Get this fraud out of our club !!!!

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
