Igor is right. The manager is clueless at handling big name players, his record says it all. The top players here are not stupid, they don't want to play for him, can't be arsed with his hoof tactics.

I said it before he came that the big players would not respect his presence and their body language says it all. TBH The long it goes on the sooner he will be sacked.

Akumaface sorry but your wrong, his effort was poor, the amount of times he either didnt chase a pass or press a defender was shocking, his touch was appauling and he seemed more interested in arguing with the opposition and the officials than doing any bloody work. People gave Lucas a chance because HE MADE AN EFFORT. Torres was totally lacking in that department yesterday and for me no player should be allowed to coast on repuation alone.

true, he hasnt been playing up to his potential all year long but Roy would probably be slammed as Torres is the most recognized goal threat and is capable of producing a moment of brilliance to change the game.

I think you would have to be blind not to notice how poor Nandos attitude has been for a while now.
I for one would have thought more of the manager had he dragged him off yesterday for Babel.
He could have even put Kuyt up front and switched Maxi over with Babel
Nando is more likely to miss a sitter these days than tuck it away, hes become lazy and sulks a lot of the time.
So who gives a fk if he gets the hump?

torres was a complete joke again yesterday, especially in the first half when he essentially didn't try a muscle and couldn't trap a bag of cement. he improved a bit in the second half but even the he'd normally bury that chance in his sleep.

I think Torres just need more support and can't do it alone. If we push up, I'm sure you will see a different Torres. And the thing is you don't know what's going on and don't be so certain to call someone wrong. There is no point in running down a ball you know you are not going to get game after game. With his injuries, he is not as fast as he used to. We need to cramp the space by pushing forward and thus each player will have less space to cover. Thus the pressure would be more effective. If you want someone to run down the ball, the whole fecking team needs to do it also and not just him.

Skrtel.............ffs the guy is starting to wind me up, he takes his eyes off the play too much, a player can turn him inside out in a sec, we have seen him play some great games, the troon got a lucky offside coal and for the rest of the game he look a player, but untill then he looked good.

easy to get past, his passing was very poor in his last two games.....but yet again can look a world beater on some days.

Konchesky......should be taken in to the woods and left there to work out what sort of player he is to be.
one day he looks great, the next he would find it hard in a sunday team...but i think he can be a great player for this club if he puts his mind to it.

we have such a problem with our players right now, we never know what ones are going to turn up on the day, you pick your best team and then it seem their look alikes turn up and play.

Torres is off form yes, but we dont do him any favours with the way we play. We dont really play to his strenghts. He has only shown the occasional moment of brilliance this season, but still he is our best player and we should try to keep him. Perhaps the new baby is keeping him up at night?

Skrtel - I dont know what his problem is but after he broke his jaw he has not been the same player. Way too inconsistent. One of the reasons why i was hoping we would get a new quality CB last summer.

Maxi - One of our top performers this season even when played out of position. Why do we have so many players that would love to play just behind torres?

Konchesky - Big name? Really? He was :censored:

its and easy out to blame the manager, yes he is not the best but at the end of the day our players are playing football.

its not much to ask of a player to pass a ball to there team mates feet is it?

It's dead easy lakes . Who sets up the team ? Who decides the teams tacticts ? Who makes the call on subs ? Who has been in charge for long enough now to be able to set up a team to win a f.uckin away game ? Is the answer to any of these questions the players ? No thought not .

This is the last time i;m going to say this . The last manager we are told lost the dressing room , so he was sacked . What the f.uck do you call that what we saw yesterday , because them players are most certainly not playing for the current manager . He hasn't staedied the ship ,he hasn't brought a fresh approach , it's him and always was him because the players can see that he is mediocre manager. The players can se his 35year record just aswell as us and basically they are demorilised by his whole tenure

as i have just pointed out in the other thread, Rafa with a better team only won 15 away points last year, Roy won 10.

yee its so hard to understand what has gone on with him in the last year, in the run up to the world cup he started to loook very poor, then he got hurt and has never been the same.
wonder what has been going on in his head for the last year.

The questions is "these big names players letting us down" because of they are not a good players or they are not suitable for Roy's long ball system

Is this realyl the state of the forum now? anytime a player has a bad game it is because they dont want to play for Roy... FFS people grow up

Well what is it then Dawson? Before everyone was saying the players that finished 2nd finished 7th because they didn't want to play for the manager in charge at the time any more. So what now all of a sudden that has changed? Instead can you maybe answer why it's not that?

We were class the last 2 games but not yesterday... Torres hasnt been good for any length of time since before the summer... there is just more to it. And under Rafa players had seen for years that Rafa would never change, so we all saw by the end the players looking dumbfounded.

With Roy its different. The spurs game we could have won 5-0 if not for Maxi and Torres and against Villa we were classy.

To say the players have already said they wont play under Roy and would rather lose in front of the fans and the payign public than play is a disgraceful comment to make.. and if the players were like that, id sell them all, as thats not who we want at Liverpool.

As for yesterdays game, feck knows why we were so poor. Well we do know, we were bullied in the centre of midfield, our defending was gash and Torres was useless yet again.

I think Roy set up the best team available though but we needed strength down the middle and the same as the last x amount of years we needed mroe options up front.
