Or is he untouchable?

You don't just drop a world class player out of the squad. A few weeks ago, he scored a few and everyone was w@nking over him again, and the team in general. I wasn't fooled by it at all. I keep saying it, some of these players' form is indicative and a direct result of Roy Hodgson's away tactics. Torres has been poor this season because of those tactics. Hoof the ball, have him chase, hope he controls it, then beats three defenders and bang one in. That kind of bollox is going to take it's toll on a striker and affect his confidence in every away game he goes into. Hodgson's away record shows that he doesn't score very many goals away from home no matter what players he has at his disposal. The problem is with the manager, not the player.

That is absolutley spot on MH. You cant flog him. Prob a reason why he looks so uninterested its like throwing a dog a stick but the stick is poo!

Messrs Henry, Werber et al. Please please please dispose of roy

It may be that Roys tactics dont suit Torres but its not as if he was to hot at times last year and we all now what happened at the World cup, albeit he was injured.

Where is the Torres from three years ago? If its a confidence thing then fair enough. He needs to get is sorted it might have something to do with the World Cup, who knows. But we cant afford to be carrying passengers no matter who they are and at the moment I would rather have Babel in the team and i NEVER though Id say that!

No doubt he will score a hatrick next weekend but I like you will not be fooled by it until we see some consistency. His link up play and general performance all season had been poor.

Im sorry but at the moment he is not good enough. Sub bench.

to be fair he has aways missed chances.
The problem now is that he is so isolated by our deep lying tactics, when he gets it he is isolated 9 times out of 10.
I agree he hasnt been anywhere near as good as i would hope but its down mostly to the system and tactics i think.

Has nothing to do with tactics ben, you can see why, his partner Ngog was at least putting a shift in and working for the team. Torres was just sitting there doing nothing.

ngog drops deeper though, torres is meant to be the player on the shoulder.
I agree that he could be doing more though.

Players we have are average and we will finish outside the top 6 the way its going. You can blame Hodgson, Benitez, but thats the botton line. We could take another manager but would they do any better at this point, I personally doubt it, and you can see the frustation etched on Hodgson just like any Liverpool fan. We just have to take these blows on the chin and hope Hodgson and Comolli can weave some magic in January and at least partly improve the side to give us hope for the future. Its bloody hard going though thats a fact.

As much as I've trie to get myself to like Roy and kind of kidded myself over the poor teams we've faced in West Ham and Aston Villa, I have to say he is well and truly out of his depth, we with the right manger this year could easy be in the top 4 with how this league is going.

With that drunken jibersh I will say it simply.

Roy out!!!!!

With these players we finished 7th with Benitez and now are in similair position with Hodgson so how many managers do you want to go through before these boys step up to the mark? Pick a manager, anyone you fancy, we would likely see a mininmal improvement at best beleive me with these lads. The clubs a hell of a job on and I hope NESV are up to for it because we need to rip apart the first 11 and have ammo on the sides to back that up. We arent talking tweaking the outfit we are looking at a knock down and rebuild here no matter who we have in charge at Anfield.

For us, Roy is the same as what Glenn Roeder was at West Ham.

He reminds me of Howard wilkinson when he had his stint for England

We are simply not the type if club who will sack a manager this early. Everyone who wants Roy out may just get used to it because he ain't going anywhere until at the very least the summer.

We should wait until summer as its much more likely we can get a quality replacement then.
